Fantastic hotel in a perfect setting

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Sep 15, 2019via mobile
Magnificent hotel in a great setting adjacent to a busy canal. Hotel staff are excellent - in Reception, the bar and in the breakfast room. Arrive straight off the canal unto a red carpet - concierge there to take your bags straight away. Bedrooms well appointed and spacious. Good shower. Breakfast excellent. Beautiful courtyard area - ideal for afternoon drinks in the shade. Would definitely stay there again.

Popped in for a drink at this gorgeous secluded Venice Hotel.I had a Mohito Martini style as suggested by the Barman Gonzalo. I've had many around the world and this was possibly the best. Dont miss it. Super service free nibblies and quality cocktails.

After a 23 plus hour flight we were warmly welcomed by the multilingual staff Hotel Staff and taken to a very tidy room ,which met all our requirements . The service offered by the staff was consistently amicable , professional ,informative and impeccable . Eventhough our stay was too short in this jewel city , because of our location and the altruism of the staff ,we were able enjoy as much of City highlights as we could . We left with indelible memories . If we do return to Venice we will return to Liassidi .

Room tip: Canal front rooms had a pleasant view .

Stayed 3 nights in junior suite with canal view.
Room not any bigger than a decent double room in reality but small balcony over canal was lovely.
Breakfast is adequate if not extensive though service from all staff was excellent at all times and any requests were actioned very promptly.
Hotel has its own jetty for taxi drop off/collection.
A good 4 star hotel with superb location 5 mins from St Marc’s square and easy walking of all parts of Venice. Recommended.

I’m always a bit skeptical about making assumptions based on first impressions, many seemingly great first impressions have often lead to disappointment. This hotel, however, I must admit, has truly set the standard on what to expect when you first arrive at a place of lodging.

After arriving in Venice after a flight from Paris, I was warmly welcomed at the reception by the staff who were more than open to sharing all the relevant information about the place which was a former palace in its time. As if that wasn’t enough, they marked out all the hotspots in and around the vicinity on a traditional map for my fiancé and I to follow for the duration of our stay.

They could have easily just left it at that, but they went on to further enquire about our reason for visiting the romantic city of Venice. It was as if they knew that we were there celebrating our engagement and as such kindly upgraded our room at a special discounted rate to make our stay there incredibly special.

The room they provided overlooked a dreamy canal, creating the perfect setting for my fiancé and I to celebrate this special occasion.

What I also thoroughly enjoyed and didn’t expect was the complimentary private taxi they offered us and all the other guests that took us to the island of Murano to witness the age old practice of glass blowing. From there, it was easy to navigate and find a public taxi where we crossed over to the other islands including Burano.

If you’re looking for a personalized experience, you need to stay at this hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. I was surprised to read negative reviews of the reception staff as we found them extremely helpful and welcoming! Though the room was fairly small, it was really comfortable and clean and a great bathroom too - unusual to have a bath/shower but nice to have the option if one prefers to soak in a bath. Room well appointed in general, and we also enjoyed a quiet drink downstairs, looking out over the canal while it was raining. We enjoyed the breakfast - it was fairly simple and unpretentious but more than sufficient. From a perspective of positioning, this hotel is perfect for walking all over and also within easy walking distance of Alilaguna blue or red line piers (if that is one's chosen way of travel - approx 27 euros return per person). It is also close (about 12 minutes walk) to the Piazzale Rome, where one can get a bus which takes about 25 minutes to the airport at 8 euros one way. As the hotel has its own private pier, there's the option of a private water taxi which takes 1/3 of the time (approx 25 minutes) but is substantially more expensive at 120 euros one way (of value if there are more than two people). Venice is so unique and this hotel a reflection of this too. We would happily stay in this hotel again.
