We, a family of 4, had a chance to stay at this exceptional hotel recently. I am well travelled and have stayed at many hotels, but can safely say that this was one of my best hotel experiences ever. This may not be the biggest hotel but what they lack for size, they make up for in service. The hotel is well located on a canal just off the Grand canal, very close to Piazza Roma which is the transport hub, and is also within walking distance of the main train station. The hotel corresponded frequently with me before check in and also arranged a car to pick us up from the airport- which cost 50 euro for our group of 4 with bags. The hotel has a charming lounge and bar area. It is here that during happy hour, free snacks of very high quality are served. Breakfast was included, and was really good with hot and cold meals available at the buffet. Rooms were very elegant and tastefully decorated with complimentary water and coffee and excellent wifi. The desk staff were exceptional at providing information about getting around, sites, tours and restaurants. We were even surprised with thoughtful gifts at check out. I can highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again if I visit Venice again.

The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. Our good experience started when we made the reservation and requested help for restaurants over the Christmas period. Within an hour of booking we received a recommendation and closer to Christmas the hotel provided us with a further 5 or 6 names. When we were unable to get a response from one of their recommendations, they made the booking for us. The restaurant recommendations were very good. This type of service continued once we arrived. We had a great room with canal view, room 207, which was spacious by European standards. Nice touches abounded and it was great to join in with other guests during happy hour. Good location as it was not in the centre of the tourist area, but close to the train and bus station.

Quiet location, in non touristy area. 5 mins walk from bus station for arrival/departure form Marco Polo airport. Very helpful reception staff. Great service. Lovely breakfast. Great room. Can walk to anywhere from here if you don't wish to catch the vaporetto, if you do P le Roma at the bus station. Bought Venice City pass for transport online and printed out in arrivals hall at The airport. Good local sea food restaurant in Cannaregio recommended by reception staff. Hotel has great map for walking around, never got lost with it! Would definitely stay again. Enjoy.

We had a great time at this hotel where the multilingual staff were invariably helpful and efficient. The rooms can all be viewed on their website and the pictures do not lie.

We enjoy walking and this hotel was a great base from which to explore Venice. The hotel is wheelchair friendly but for those who dislike walking a hotel closer to the main canal or Piazzo San Marco would be advised. However the equivalent hotel in a more central location (1km away as the crow flies) would be triple the cost.

Breakfasts were good and made to order coffees excellent. Evening drinks and canapés were a great way to chat with other guests and receive some education of the wines of Italy from the staff.

There are a small number of restaurants within 200 metres walk of the hotel so eating at night was never a problem.

We will stay here again.

I'll just repeat what so many have said: not only is this hotel absolutely lovely and in a perfect location (it really is only about a 10-minute walk to train station--and the other reviewer is surely right that it would have been 5-7 minutes if our bags had been lighter!), it also has the most amazing and warm staff of anywhere I have ever stayed. Enza and Alfredo made our stay an absolute pleasure; I was really, actually sad to say goodbye to them. (Needless to say, this has never happened to me at a hotel before!) They made me feel as though I was not only welcome but that they wanted *me* to be there; that is so rare *anywhere*, let alone at a hotel. I'm grateful to them both; the Moresco is lucky to have them. Alfredo treated us to an incredible wine-tasting one night--if you love wine, ask him questions! We had a wonderful time in Venice, and this hotel was a huge part of that. (This is especially true for me because I became ill and had to stay IN the hotel more than I would have liked; they were incredibly kind and provided more tea than I would have thought they had in the entire hotel.) Needless to say, I absolutely loved this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
