We were charmed by this hotel and its environment. Our welcome was warm, our bed comfortable, and the breakfast just right for us.The rooms are not large but are decorated and furnished in typical Venetian style which feels quite luxurious. Its position may be a bit away from the centre but Dorsoduro has its own quiet character which suited us and the church of St Nicholas round the corner was inspiring. We have stayed in Venice a few times now but this is a hotel to which we will return. Incidentally it's an easy 10/15 minute walk from Piazzale Roma.

Room tip: Our group had 3 rooms on the second floor which were all good

My room was spacious and had a lovely bathroom with a large shower. The staff were very helpful (especially Luca) with directions, recommendations and bookings for local restaurants.
This is a quiet neighbourhood and in the winter is very much off the beaten track. it took me about 25mins to stroll to St Mark's Square but I didn't want to go that far again in the evenings and at the beginning of January there wasn't much going on in the vicinity of the hotel (that said the 2 restaurants I did visit were lovely). In the summer it's probably a bit livelier - but still nicely away from the crowds and I would certainly recommend.

Hotel Tiziano was our destination after trekking 0.5 miles through waist deep water (i'm 5"5') with our heavy luggage. Upon arriving the staff was friendly and spoke decent English. The staff helped carry our bags to the second floor where our room was. The room was spacious and cute, they had a mini bar (which we utilized after our trek, the 12 euro mini bottle of wine didn't do the trick if you were curious).

Because of the flooding there was not much open, but Gio Rai was just around the corner and they delivered or you could go pick it up.

Our room had a good view of a small canal, we really had no complaints about our stay except one of the nights there was this annoying humming sounds that was actually quite loud. We contacted the front desk who then came up to our room and agreed that he could hear it. He contacted the owner who stated that it could not be fixed until morning, he offered to move us rooms free of charge.

The breakfast in the morning was the worst that we had experienced, the best part of it was the café. The selection was minimal and they did not do a good job of keeping it stocked.

If and when we return to Venice we would most likely not stay here again.

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,

With reference to Your review, we are glad that You liked the room and that our staff speaks a decent level of English.
We are sorry for the noise , our offer for another room was an effort to accommodate You in an alternative sections avoiding the noise .
We regret that You did not appreciate our little family run hotel atmosphere in consideration of our tiny venetian spaces , where we serve anyway a complete continental buffet breakfast.
Hoping You will change our mind for the next visit in Venice.
With Kind Regards.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. Lovely stay in a classy boutique hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was excellent. Really happy with the room which was clean, spacious and well decorated.

Our first night was the night of the Acqua Alta flooding, and the hotel wasn’t able to do anything to help us get to reception which meant we had to walk barefoot through flooded Venice streets carrying our bags at 10 at night. This has to cost the review 5 stars, because we know that flooding does happen in Venice and so travellers might be disheartened to find it very difficult to get to the hotel without much help.

Except for this, our stay was wonderful. Lovely quiet location in Venice but still walkable to everything important. Usually we aren’t too bothered about crowds but in Venice this really does matter- the business spoils the atmosphere a bit-therefore I wouldn’t underrate this hotels location. Rated three star but you are really getting a four star experience.

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,

we thank You for Your review and for the nice words about our staff.

Concerning the high tide please note it is not an event we can control at all. That monday was an exeptional event and that evening all venetian people were stuck in their shops and hotels and restaurantys triyng to check the tide level. Our hotel had some damages and also the other buildings and monuments in the city.

Anyway hightide is part of citylife during this period .

We hope You will understand this and visit us once more in the future.

With Kind Regards..

Stayed here the night of October 19. The weather in Venice was warm, highs in the upper 70's. But at night it cooled off. The hotel advertised that it is air conditioned. But it fails to mention that it turns it off at the end of Sept. and will not turn it back on no matter what! So that night we had to open our windows as the room was in the mid 80s temperture wise. Well 30 yards away was the biggest party house in Venice. Drinking, music, fireworks, screaming and fighting. We complained as did all the rest of the guests and the hotel just said they couldn't do anything. Not even turn the air conditioning back on so we could close the windows. The hotel staff said this had never happened before but we found out the next morning, after a sleepless night, from the local bakery and pizza shop that this party is every weekend in the fall and had been for years. The hotel should post that they turn the air conditioning off in Sept and that you will not get any rest staying here.

Room tip: Choose any other hotel in Venice. In Italy for that matter.

Dear ButlerFan,
with reference to your review of our hotel posted 31 October 2018, once the cooling system is switched to heating mode as per ordinance of the Venetian municipality, we cannot switch it back. This occurs on the 15 October (not on end of Sept.) of every year and our Conditioning system either works in heating or cooling but not simultaneously. Unfortunately, the weather patterns are changing worldwide however October was and still is a cold month for the northern part of Italy.
About the party you mentioned, there were no fireworks and fighting at all. We did all the best to stop them calling the police all night. It was the first time this party lasted so long.
We noticed that this review is very similar to the previous one.
Best regards
