Great hotel in a great quiet spot very close to train station

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Nov 2, 2017via mobile
We could not have been happier than finding this place to stay in Venice.

The people are warm and caring and serve continental breakfast in the morning. They do not have a lift so if you have a ton of bags you will need to make a few trips. We found the location perfect to be out of the masses and quiet for the most part aside from some construction close by. The rooms are very clean and vintage feeling with pretty cool ambiance. Pretty close walk to the train station and the entry port.

If we came to Venice again would definitely stay here again.

We had the top level room overlooking the canal and its amazing.
Room is spacious and relatively clean. Its kind of old french type decor, very marie antoinette type. Overall happy my one suggestion is to put in a shower screen as water goes everywhere when taking a shower over bath.
And also, down the road near the bridge there is a Trattoria called Pontini, recommended by the hotel and its a very very good Trattoria, go eat there at least once.

Our "standard room" was a beautiful designer suite on the banks of a canal. It deserved a 5 star rating. The staff were friendly and helpful. The area is less touristy and there are good restaurants nearby. The Alilaguna airport waterbus stops within 150 meters. Highly recommended

I loved this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen well. The location is perfect! Walking distance from the train station, near a water taxi stop and away from the ridiculous crowds!
Paulo provided us with a bottle of proseco to enjoy in the roof top terrace our first night.
Amazing breakfast right on the canal!
Only negative was the beds were pretty hard. It didn't bother me, but my husband was pretty stiff in morning.
Worth it!!

An easy 5 block walk, or a quick water bus ride from the train station. From the main path, Cannaregio, you see the number 1018A. The Hotel entrance in actually on the side street, about 20 feet where you see the number 1018. Hotel is WONDERFUL. The owner speaks a little English and is helpful with restaurant choices. The gentleman who works from 8 to 3:30 speaks wonderful English. Hotel is clean, comfortable, close to water taxi stop. An easy stroll to main shopping area. Our first visit to Venice, September 13 and 14, 2017 but not our last. We will stay here again. Continental Breakfast, nothing hot, but a nice selection.

My party was so happy with this hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the rooms were lovely, updated, modern, and so quaint.
We were in a quiet area near to the water bus and restaurants and shopping, but
definitely walkable to walk to St Marks Square.

Room tip: all rooms were nice.
