“Great hotel, excellent hospitality, awesome breakfast croissants”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

We had a great room on the second floor with a balcony and canal view, plus another window facing the court yard. Room was nice and roomy, with lovely high ceiling.

The bathroom was nice, and I love the radiator towel racks. Nothing beats a warm towel when stepping out of a shower in winter.

Hotel staff were so warm and helpful. It's also a plus that they carry a range of Venice tourist information books.

Breakfast croissant was the best I've ever had. Fresh out of the oven (even though I realize they didn't bake it themselves), hot and bouncy (so bouncy, I had to take a video of my finger pressing it, just to show the bounceback). Great waiting staff who come around offering refills for coffee and/or tea.

I'd stay at this place again if I ever visit Venice again.

We couldn't fault this hotel. We've been to Venice many times and this is the best hotel we've stayed in in terms of location and value for money. The staff are really friendly and helpful, room was lovely and breakfasts were great. Would definitely recommend it.

The reviews of this hotel are quite accurate - we had a lovely stay. To give you a sense of my background, my husband and I are avid travelers who have stayed in hotels as luxurious as the Four Seasons, etc etc, but much prefer immaculately clean, locally-owned places with character. This certainly fits the bill. The room is large, lovely and lavish, with a large bathroom and luxurious shower.

Of note, the location is both a plus and a minus. Plus, because you are away from all of the crowds, but minus because we found it to be about a 20 minute walk to the Piazza.

We had the good fortune to meet and interact with Sandro, who was wonderful and personable and every bit as invested in our stay as we could have hoped. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 45. I would highly recommend this room!! The view itself was not particularly memo...

We stayed here for four nights in early February 2012. We chose this hotel because of the ratings/reviews on Trip Advisor, and we were not disappointed. This hotel is beautiful, extremely clean, and comfortable. We stayed in the annex and it was perfect and private. The room was spacious and the decor was perfect. It felt like we'd travelled back in time to another era, except with all the modern necessities! The staff was friendly, polite and helpful when we needed recommendations for dinner. The hotel is just a very short walk from the Vaparetto stop, which was fantastic. Breakfast was served every morning at 8 am. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. I loved this hotel, and would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone travelling to Venice!

Room Tip: We were given a room in the annex - which was perfect for us, it was quiet and private. The private...

I stayed here with 2 friends for 3 nights and thought it was very good. I was concerned if the room was going to be big enough for 3 people and it definitely was. I didn't sleep on the extra bed but my friend who did said it was comfortable and cosy (important because it was freezing in Venice). The rooms are well decorated and the bathrooms large and clean. We had to change rooms because of a double booking (but I was informed about this well in advance so it wasn't a problem). The room swap was easy, they sorted everything out when we went sightseeing for the day.

The croissants at breakfast are to die for and the breakfast buffet is generous. Lots of fruit, pastries, cereals and bread with plenty of Nutella to go around. The staff also make sure you have enough coffee and the coffee is good (but then it is Italy!). The staff at the reception were charming and helpful and made our stay extremely pleasant.

We stayed for three nights last September and still talk about it amongst ourselves and to our friends. The hotel is small and quaint and run by the nicest gentlement we met in Italy! We stayed in the secondary building and the room was spacious by Europe standard and was more then big enough for all 3 of us ( my boyfriend and 18 year old son). The best parts of this hotel are nice, spacious clean rooms, scrumptious breakfast included in private terrace, short distance to vaporetto and a very reasonable price. Despite the many cities included in our last trip to Europe , a piece of our hearts stayed in Venice and we have vowed to return to this exact location before too long... Sandro and Walter, as promised, if you ever find yourselves in Montreal please look us up.
