Never have I stayed in poorer accommodation than this. Literally the most rude hosts I have ever met.
On arrival received a lecture about using our phones rather than being welcomed. They told us off for having the booking on our phone and not printed although it is not specified that this is necessary. Also why would it be because it’s 2018.
Our friend who accompanied us to the checkin was asked to leave extremely rudely despite the acqua Alta literally flooding the ground outside the property.
There is no signposting to let you know where the hotel is. Also it is not a hotel it is a hostel as we shared a bathroom which was full of flies and was flooded most days due to a non functioning drain.
The room and bathroom were obviously not cleaned in our five day stay.
The room was unclean and covered in hair and dust.
On the final morning building works and drilling began at 8:30am without any warning and continued until we left at 10:30.
The atmosphere was so unpleasant that we looked desperately for somewhere else to stay.
To top it off the owner walked directly into our room without even knocking in the morning when we were getting ready.
Probably the worst stay I have ever had anywhere and the rudest and least helpful owners in maybe the world.
Just don’t stay here or give them any money.

This guest house is perfect if you're looking for a clean, comfy base for exploring Venice. It is not a long walk from the main tourist spots but out the way enough that you can escape the crowds when you want to.

It is right on a canal opposite a street which is recommended by walking tour guides as reasonably priced, good Italian food and rather than full of tourist traps. Because of that I'd say the location is great.

Check in was easy, the room was big and clean with wifi and the bathroom was a good size, clean and even has some toiletries you can use. As it is next to such good restaurants and nightlife it is a bit noisy, but not enough to bother us at all.

Overall it was perfect for what we wanted and I'd definitely stay again.

The room we stayed was clean and comfortable, although on the third floor, so after a day of walking it felt like quite a trek up to the room! Bathroom across the hall but not a problem, as this is quite normal for the region.
The location was great. All the authentic venetian bars/cafes/restaurants just across the bridge. It felt like we were staying in the residents quarter. Also very close to the touristy bits. The walk to st marks square is about 20 minutes but there's so much to see on the way you don't really notice or care. Fantastic stay on the whole.

Room. Clean and comfortable.

62 steps upstairs a nightmare - would have been nice to know.

This hotel will not score highly on number of counts.

Attitude of one of the people involved. One very nice, spoke good English and helped us upstairs with suitcases. The other rather rude. He seemed surprised that we wanted two more pillows. They did bring them but one night without.

Very surprised when I asked about the safe. "You want to use the safe" was the response. Safe not attached to anything someon could have walked off with it.

The nice one said he would get someone to help us with suitcases on the day of departure but the unpleasant one did not want to help too busy. Told us to hire a porter.

No mosquito protection. It was brought after I made a request.

Very difficult to find how to access the hotel from a rather tatty courtyard. Often with dog muck.

Very difficult to actually check out. no reception. Just left the keys in the room.

The location isn't very good, very noisy and the guesthouse is tucked behind what feels very dodgy area. About 45mins walk to tourist attractions.

Room was clean, not cleaned once during stay however but it was satisfactory although basic. Bathroom shower was good.

I wouldn't say it was worth the money however due to noice level.

I wouldn't recommend this place solely for the fact that the landlord was that rude I wouldn't want him to have any more money in his pocket. He was very rude on arrival, no manners whatsoever. I'm supriced he continues to get custom with his attitude.
