I stayed in the residence for a seminar for 5 days and arrived there the first day very late. You can definately not expect a hotel experience, rather that of a low end hostel. No soap, you have to make your own bed, it is noisy and the rooms are not very clean ( I could literally feel the crumbling dirt on the palms of my feet when going to bed).
The next morning I realized that behind my bed there was a huge spot of white mold. So I told the receptionist (who does not speak english) that I would like to change rooms because of the mold when I came back from the seminar in the evening. He said that because it is night, he could not put me in a different room and that he needed to ask the central administration and send an email request to change my room. I should come back the next morning.
So I slept another night in my moldy room, packed my bags and hoped for the best the next morning. I asked and the receptionist said they were still waiting for a response about changing my room.
This is absolutely intollerable. Potentially putting guests' health at risk is not just bad service, it is unacceptable. Noone needs permission to change a room when mold is in a room, this is ridiculous. If I could I would give it zero points...More
