We stumbled over this on secret escapes and decided to give it a go Puglia was really booked up in July....
The Masseria is off the beaten track so you will need a car and most built in satnavs won’t find it you ll need google maps ...
Also the final approach is over tiny and I’ll lit roads the Masseria is signposted.... best to leave the coastal road and follow the signage to mesagne and find from there...

The rooms are simply furnished but clean and big and have all you need but if you expect state of the art bathrooms and strong WiFi perhaps look elsewhere ....
If you want peace quiet a d an excuse why you didn’t catch up on the last work memo go

A nice clean pool, free non alcoholic mini bar excellent mostly in house produced breakfast await the in house restaurant with good honest food again high in house production should tempt you at least once friendly helpful staff with good English the dogs are less scary than they look good security also

So all in all good value, no frills outstanding service we would not mind coming again and are happy to recommend

On a last minute deal to Brindisi, we stumbled on this gem when looking for a value-for-money, boutique, independent hotel experience.

TBH we paid very little for the room online and were a bit sceptical as a result. Having arrived on an early morning flight, reception staff let us have our room early. We were shown to a spacious studio room off the courtyard. Furniture and decor was nice and there was a fridge in the room. The bathroom was certainly dated (hairdryer was broken, shower needed replacing....hence 4 stars - otherwise, would have been 5) but everything was very clean and the towels were wonderfully white and fluffy!

The pool was beautiful with sun loungers and shade, set in the beautiful grounds of this working farm. The lawns were in great condition (something the other half was impressed with) and the smell of jasmine every morning and evening was just heaven. There was also tiny birds nesting in the ivy and trees who offered a lovely chorus every morning.

Breakfast was great and offered a fresh, tasty selection of cakes, pastries, fruit, vegetables and cold cuts. We had dinner there on one evening and again, the food was very good; local antipasti grown from their gardens, pasta with mussels, fresh sea bass with potato crust and chocolate mousse - all for €26 per head. The wine was also delicious and very good value.

Other useful things to note: Parking was well organised and the place well sign posted off the main road. Around 20 mins drive from Brindisi airport and 50mins drive to the beautiful crystal blue water beaches of Punta Prosciutto. Good security on the grounds however no safe in the rooms (but think this is typical in Italy). They also hire beach towels at €5 each!

What really made the trip were the people. The staff were INCREDIBLE!!!! They were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Oh and there’s a few dogs and a cat on the farm who greeted us every day and were the cherry on our holiday sundae!

This place has heaps of potential to be 5stars (bathrooms are fixable and the wonderful team are irreplaceable).

Thank you Baroni Nuovi team for such a wonderful trip and looking forward to visiting again soon!

Stayed here for 5 nights.
As the visit was out of season, the hotel was quiet.
Lovely clean room with a door leading to the middle gardens.
Breakfast was served each morning to the room at a time of your choice. Really enjoyable!
Unfortunately the restaurant was not open due to the time of year, but if you have transport, the little town of Mesagne has an abundance of choice with good eateries.
All in all, a perfect stay that I'm happy to recommend.
Thank you to all the Team, particularly Valerie!! ✔

This place is really nice but it is not all gold what it shines. We were give a nice room overlooking the middle garden of the property. After a long day we wanted to have dinner at the restaurant but we were told by the receptionist that unfortunately the restaurant was closed and directed us to other places outside the property (the nearest was 8 Km away). The room was not very clean especially the shower tray. The signal is very low on cellphones, tablet, TV and the wi-fi was not working. One of the two mattresses of the bed was old and had a cavity in the middle that hurt my wife back after a single night sleep on it. Breakfast was good but the offer was not what we expected to find in a masseria, local and regional farmer's products such as wooden fired freshly baked old grains breads, fresh ricotta served with a selection of locally produced marmalades and honey, etc. Also, when we asked to have the bread toasted we were told by a waitress that they did not have a toaster in the breakfast room and that since it was a self service we couldn't get any toasted bread.

Gent.mo Sig. Maurizio M.,

Cordiali saluti.

We stayed for a week at this working farm. Mainly Italian guests but very friendly with good English. the room was large and very clean. it lacked a safe and coffee making facilities you would find in a hotel.
You need a car to travel around and it ideally based to explore the region easily.
Breakfast is a buffet with tables inside or outside.
Evening meals are home made with limited choice as few guests. A menu is provided in the morning. The starters we had were marvellous and the pasta dishes good. the desserts are basic. You pay one price for the meal . The farm produces olive oil and wine which was delicious.
There are a lot of birds flying around the courtyard which is lovely to hear. there was also a friendly cat and dog.
There is a good pool on site for guests.
