Arrived Olbia as flight crew. We were booked at the Alessandro by a colleague who must not be very happy with us. We arrived at 1AM to a reception area filled with passengers of a cancelled flight. This was followed by the clerk having NO information about our Expedia reservation. The desk clerk was patient and helpful and got us sorted despite the fact he couldn't find our reservation. That was the high point of the stay.
My sea-view junior suite had a view of a supermarket parking lot, not the sea (unless you hang over the edge of the balcony). The room has minimal furnishings. No bottled water, ketchup packet-type shampoo, bars of soap the size of a 2 euro coin, etc.
The two WORST points were:
1) A bed that felt like concrete except with a gap in between 2 twin mattresses
2) no hot water in the shower... Not, warm water; not a little hot water.... NO HOT WATER. I took an ice cold shower. It was HORRIBLE.
I'm not one to complain. I've stayed in thousands of hotels in probably 150 countries and this is probably the worst I've ever been to. It was more like prison than a hotel. Avoid!More
