Really good communication from the moment we booked, well organised and very interesting. Alessandro was a great guide, very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

My wife and I booked the classic tour last minute and it turned out to be a delight. Our guide, Giovanni, was well versed, welcoming and brought both passion and fun to the day. Etna itself is very impressive, if only seen at 2,000m, and the gorge was a great addition to the day. I’d highly recommend the tour.
Great tour with "Manu" a Geologist, very much aware of everything going on on the Volcano. I highly recommend to ask for him as he's both a great guide and a very interesting person!
We were going to visit Mt Etna by ourselves, but ended up booking the Etna Experience Classic Tour at the recommendation of our B&B owner. We did not regret it. We were two of only five people on the tour that day. Fabio, our guide, made sure we had a great time. The tour involved a hike near some craters on the mountain, a stroll through a lava tube, lunch, and a visit to Alcantara Gorge. Fabio shared lots of interesting information with us along the way.
I visited Etna in August 2014, but since I just joined tripadvisor I cannot choose a period earlier than October 2017. Anyways - if you are visiting Catania, you must go to Etna. August in Sicily is a hot hot month, and taking a break on Etna is a great way to cool down a little bit :) Temperature goes down by 15-20 degrees comparing to Catania town. Etna itself is amazing! It reactivates every once in a while and has a great history. The excursion was excellent, guide was very friendly and knowledgeable of the site, she explained the natural surroundings and processes in a very interesting way and a plus was getting us to local producers of honey.
We did the Etna Top Easy tour (bringing two boys aged 6 and 8 years). Booking process was smooth and any questions were answered promptly through email before arrival. The company provides jackets and proper shoes if needed - but we managed just fine with running shoes.
Our awesome guide Guiseppe picked us up in Nicolosi and immediately started sharing a lot of information about the plan for the day and explaining about Etna. There was plenty of time to talk, ask questions and even walk down Etna (to the top lift station) which is highly recommended! The tour included a Sicilian streetfood stop and a visit to a (small) lava cave. Our kids (and we!) enjoyed the day very much - and it really felt as if we had our own personal guide the whole day. At all times he really adapted to our needs and wishes and as we had a bit more time in the afternoon, Guiseppe suggested we could drive to a wine yard, which were also selling own grown/made italian delicacies (and wines). Can only recommend going with Etna Experience Excursions - they are professional and very knowledgeable! Only negative I can mention is that it was quite expensive bringing the kids - almost same price as adults.
