We had a memorable 3 day stay in Mary's charming house. She was extremely helpful with arrival arrangements and gave us lots of tips for things to do in Palermo, all of which were excellent (especially dinner at her friend Tonnino's simple restaurant just around the corner).
Easy to get to from the Central Station (10 Euro cab ride or 18 minute walk), Chez Jasmine was the perfect launch pad for walks to the markets, squares, amazing churches, restaurants, and bars of central Palermo. The well-equipped kitchen meant we could buy amazing things on the market, cook them at home, and have delicious meals on the calm, cool, roof terrace.
The bed was comfortable, the WI-fi was robust, and the neighbourhood was vibrant and friendly.
We can't wait to go back.

We have just returned from 10 days in this charming, well-equipped little house (think vertical cottage). With its location in an historic area and Mary’s enthusiastic advice and insights, it makes a very good home-from-home from which it is easy to explore and get a sense of Palermo. We’ll be back!

We started our 17 day trip to Sicily in Palermo and booked Chez Jasmine in advance. The owner, Mary, was in touch with us immediately and offered helpful advice and suggestions for our trip. She was happy to communicate by phone or email. Specifically she arranged a taxi from the airport which was a great bonus after a day spent flying in.
She was there to meet us and showed us around the apartment plus giving practical advice on the local area and again specifically where to get the best BBQ'd fish supper !!!
The well apointed apartment was spread over three floors: bedroom and bath rooms, living and kitchen room, large rooftop terrace and it 'starts' on the 1st floor, or 2nd if from the US, so you must be able to negotiate stairs!!
We did not fully utilise the facilities available just having our breakfast there and eating out for the rest of the meals, but we could have been fully self catering had we wished with a Carrefour store just a few minutes away ... we bought wine !!
Mary was an excellent host living just around the corner but on the end of a phone and willing to help in any way she could. Again specifically she helped us with our rental car arrangements.
The location is excellent for seeing the principle sights of Palermo on foot or by open bus ... both of which we fully utilised !! ...... and has a real atmospheric feel of the city.
We loved it and have no hesitation in recommending it.
Thanks Mary for an excellent introduction to Sicilian hospitality.

We just spent three days and four nights in Palermo staying at Chez Jasmine which is probably the most delightful apartment in town. It's located in the historical centre called La Kalsa surrounded by lively piazzas, exquisite gardens, and restaurants in all price ranges. It's also situated just a five minute walk from the beautiful waterfront where people play cricket, soccer, fly kites, run, and young lovers get to know each other better beneath numerous palm trees. The apartment itself is quite unique, comprised of three levels with the top level being an outdoor patio where you can relax in a swing sofa or have breakfast surrounded by lush potted plants and climbing vines. The bedroom with a desk and TV is on the first level (which is actually the second level of the building) while the kitchen, dining and living room is in a spacious beautifully furnished and decorated room on the second level. A quaint circular staircase takes you up to the patio. Best of all is the owner, Mary Goggin, who is so warm and friendly, with a great sense of humour and eager to help you in any way she can; you instantly feel as though you've been friends all your life. My wife and I really hated to leave. Five out of five stars!

We love this place; it is comfortable, well equipped and very convenient. Mary leaves lots of things to eat and drink - but it isn't really B&B so we just left stuff too.
Don't stay anywhere else in Palermo, and when you do stay here make sure you eat in the street restaurant just around the corner, it is amazing value for beautifully grilled fish.
