We were at the Bilo8 on Salomone Street for 8 days, with 2 children (7 &3). The location is amazing, the appartment is cute and fully equipped, the building is charming and the elevator is a real luxury when the kids are tired (or when you come back from the market). Parking is easy and free for the night if you park before 8pm. Lilla and Massimo really did take good care of us, responding always quickly to any of our help requests.
I strongly recommend CaseSicilia for a familiy stay in Ortigia.

Siracusa was the highlight of a wonderful holiday in Sicily, and our accommodation in the apartment with roof terrace played no small part in our enjoyment of this splendid city. We were a group of three - a middle-aged couple and a friend - and we found the apartment perfect for self-catering, with all meals enjoyed on the terrace. It was a pleasant haven to return to after busy days sightseeing, either within or out of the city. All the delights of Ortygia, including the sea, were on our doorstep and the proximity to the sea meant cooler summer temperatures. The apartment was well-appointed and all amenities, including the wonderful markets, were within walking distance - although carrying home the goods was sometimes aided by use of the free shuttle buses! Information and advice from the owners, both in advance of and during our stay, were extremely helpful. The suggestion to use their recommended taxi driver to travel from Catania airport to the apartment turned out to be a godsend as we also used him for touring elsewhere on the island. This added enormously to the enjoyment of the excursions and detracted enormously from the stress! Everything was near perfect; our only minor reservation would be that the small bedroom for the third person may be too confined for some people. The provision of air-conditioning was a welcome bonus. All in all, a great place for a holiday!

The Prestige apartment is very nice and although it is situated in the middle of the historical centre of Syracusa, it is very quiet. It has a big roof terrace where the whole family can easily sit. The apartment is equipped with just what it takes to get along when you are on vacation. If you don't want to eat at restaurants every night, you can easily cook a meal for the family. Our host, Massimo, is very friendly and serviceminded, and very quick to respond if you have questions. We can highly recommend anyone to stay in the Prestige apartment. And if you chose to stay here, we are sure you will return home with good memories.

We were 6 adults and 5 children. We had 3 apartments, they are not luxurious but well furnished. The location is just what we wanted so we could walk to restaurants an learn about the local history. Our favorite restaurant was Osteria Mariano very close by. "Prestige" was the nicest apartment we had. The 2nd bedroom is tiny, only for one person but fine for my granddaughter. A nice roof terrace and lots of hot water which was limited in the other 2 apartments. #1 which opens off the street is the biggest but has no view and limited windows. Lilia and Massimo were very helpful and we really like Pepe the taxi driver they got for us.

My wife and I stayed in Bilo 8 for four nights at the end of May. We just loved Syracuse and can't wait to return. The stay was made much more enjoyable by booking such an excellent apartment. Right in the centre of the old city but yet quiet and peaceful, which for us was a perfect combination. The owners and staff of Casesicilia were freindly, helpful and welcoming. We can't find anything to fault and intend to book with Casesicilia for our return trip in 2011.
