My partner and I stayed for 1 week at mary's house in Taormina. For the very reasonable price we did not expect to so perfectly located or for the apartment to be anything other than basic, but we were wrong. Ezio (the landlord) kindly met us at the bus station on arrival took us up the hill to the apartment and we were hugely impressed with the size and space we had. 2 balconies, 2 bedrooms, siting room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom with bath and a downstairs terrace to eat and relax in. It is situated right at the enterance to the main street in taormina so everything is literally on the doorstep and the apartment itself overlooks a lovely piazza with a view of mount Etna. Simply perfect. Be prepared that it is a lively area. Thanks also to Ezio who was very friendly and put us at ease.
We enjoyed our four nights in this very roomy, comfortable apartment. After weeks in hotel rooms, it was so good to be able to spread out. The apartment has many appealing features including a well-equipped kitchen, washing machine, separate well- furnished lounge and dining rooms and reliable wifi.
The central location suited us well and we enjoyed the view of the busy square below and of Mt Etna from the small balcony.
Booking via email was very easy with Ezio promptly responding to all queries. Ezio was also very helpful during our stay. He picked us up from the bus terminal on our arrival and dropped us at train station on departure.

We've just come back from spending a week in Mary's House, Taormina. We would highly recommend this apartment. It's decorated in a typical Italian style, is very clean and is right at the end of the Main Street in Taormina so is very central. Ezio was very welcoming and helpful from the moment we enquired to the moment we left.
The apartment is specious and comfortable but it's located just above the traffic circle. It's hard to sleep at night because of the cars and motorcycles outside the window. No parking space, so you have to pay extra 15 euro per day in Porta Catania (the biggest parking in the city located nearby) or park on unguarded small parking 10 minutes away from the apartment. If you want to relax, this is not a good choice.
A spacious lovely apartment run by a really nice guy. Located just outside Porta Catania. It was perfect for our vist to Taormina and Mount Etna.
The apartment is spacious and well equipped. The location of the apartment at the end of Corso Umberto is perfect with restaurants, gelaterias, bars ,coffee shops and a supermarket all within a short stroll. Corso Umberto however is very busy and so it can be noisy.Ezio is a wonderful host who does everything he can to make your stay as good as possible.
Ezio made every effort to ensure we were happy with the accommodation. The house is in walking distance of a craft beer bar, two excellent gelaterias, tiramisu restaurant, I could happily live here, yet alone stay on holiday. When I return to Sicily I will want to stay here. Totally recommended.
