“An outstanding villa to relax and see the wonderful towns in Tuscany”
Reviewed June 4, 2018 for a stay in May 2018

The location is both remote yet so close to Cortona and the other wonderful hill top towns of Tuscany. It was so easy to visit Assisi, Arezzo, Perugia, Siena and other wonderful places. Also driving through the beautiful Tuscan countryside was so relaxing. Great restaraunts in Cortona. Also a superb little supermarket ipnear the Villa in Pergo - had absolutely everything needed for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Overall a five star lus villa

Dear Bob,
it was a pleasure hosting you and your family and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. This is indeed the advantage of Cortona being so centrally located to easily visit other parts of Tuscany and Umbria.
We would be happy to welcome you back.

Tanti Saluti!!

“great retreat”
Reviewed July 13, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

My husband, adult daughter, and I spent 6 days Sat 5/27- Fri 6/2/2017 in this house. It was spotless inside and out (including pool). Note that old well water is not potable, so bottled water required. Clothes washing machine (no dryer, but hang dry outside worked fine) was wonderful to have in middle of our 3 week Italy trip. It has a low electric fence around it to keep wild bore away - but we saw no wild bores. Rental agency (3 great ladies - Alice, Kirsten, and Federica @ Rent In Tuscany and Do It in Tuscany) was terrific and available anytime to answer questions & give suggestions. They met us on arrival near the Villa to lead us in the country road and present the property. They came back later to help get tv adjusted for English channels. Being in Cortona, they were VERY helpful with arranging a small cooking class on short notice. Owner of property lives near and can provide fully prepared meal off site, if you don't want to cook - meatballs were delicious. Oven is convection not conventional - I didn't know how to use it properly and had to call agency. The little dirt drive with hazardous curve is typical access to hill country villas - but be prepared to drive it. A small car is much better than big! Location makes driving to grocery store and Cortona easy, with reasonable access for day trips to hill towns from Sienna to Orvieto and in between. We visited as far west as Montalcino, south to Chiusi, east to Assisi... Had already visited Sienna/San Gimignano in previous trip when we based in Monte San Savino. Not a lot of time to sit by the pool, but great to come home to peaceful outdoor setting before dark. Highly recommend this location (comfortable beds, all conveniences in perfect condition) and services of the agency we accessed through Trip Advisor - 'Rent In Tuscany' were superb.

Thank you Judith. It was a real pleasure meeting you and your family.
All the details you have highlighted are very useful for everyone will come to spend a beautiful holiday in the spirit of nature and relaxation. The Villa is located in a secluded position yet some minutes far from the services. It is a good starting point to visit some of the best cities of Tuscany and Umbria regions. We feel grateful when guests feel at home away from home. You are always welcome back.
