Nothing can prepare you beforehand to encounter the David of Michelangelo. No image or reproduction can remotely inspire the awe and euphoria of actually seeing this masterpiece.

This place has a wide variety of sculptures and busts, in addition to the well known David, by Michelangelo. I was with a group of teens and it kept their interest. It was helpful that we had a "scavenger hunt" planned for them though.

It’s not an expensive place to visit per se. However, when you consider the amount of additional exhibits other than David it’s also not a good price. Truthfully speaking though he is a must see and the owners know it !

In honesty the gallery itself could've been better but it was certainly made up for by the incredibly marvel which was David. Well worth the wait but a phonecall reservation can easily stop the wait which I would recommend.

The gallery itself is amazing. Definitely book a tour and beat the 2 and a half hour queue. The guide was helpful and informative and Michelangelo's David was breathtaking. HOWEVER, the gift shop staff have a major attitude problem, downright rude and unhelpful. Felt like they were doing us a favour by lowering themselves to serve us. Slight dampener on an otherwise fabulous day.
