Owner description: Aquaflor Firenze is a perfume atelier where rare & precious perfumes are created by master perfumer, Sileno Cheloni. By appointment only, custom/bestoke perfumes are made for our clients in our private laboratory. The shop is situated in three large rooms in a Renaissance palace in Borgo Santa Croce, a short walk from Piazza Santa Croce in the heart of Florence.

We stumbled upon this shop walking down a side street, but as soon as you smell it you know you need to go inside. What a treasure trove of wonderful soaps, shaving kits and perfume. Absolutely stunning.
We didn't buy anything but browsed for ages.
You can book tours and perfume consultations - which is a must for any special occasion (although I think they are very expensive).

Don't skip the opportunity to visit this amazing perfume and soap shop. It is located in the Santa Croce district. We were lucky enough to meet the master perfumer while visiting the shop. It was a very unique shopping experience and I would highly recommend stopping by the Profumeria if you are in the neighborhood.

We only discovered this shop by accident as it has a very plain entrance. It was only the scent we could smell as we walked past that enticed us to enter. When we did it was like walking int another time. The shop has three large rooms and it has the look and feel of a shop from from a long time ago - the building that it is housed in comes from the 15th or 16th century. The artisan perfumes they have developed are fantastic and they have a great range of soaps and room perfume oils. We ended up buying some of each. We were also shown the labs downstairs which was a nice touch. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended for a visit.

This is a must stop for visiting Florence. I have been wearing scents from here for a few years. If you have never been to an artisan perfume shop, make this one a must see. Everything is of the highest quality, but there are some beautiful soaps at very good prices for gifts. But definitely take home something for yourself from here you will enjoy the memory.

I purchased my first bottle of perfume (Derwish) three years ago at AquaFlor. It has become my favorite scent, so I am obliged to return to Florence once a year to replenish my supply! This store continues to expand it's generous space and is such a visual delight. This Renaissance era building is simply gorgeous and the employees are gracious and accommodating. Even if you're not interested in perfume, soap, or lotion, go to AquaFlor to see this sumptuous hidden gem.
