Great view of the duomo. Easy access to any place in Florence. Make sure you visit the rooftop terrace. Proprietor can tell you all the best places to visit while you are in town. Everything within easy walking distance!

Left Venice for Florence booked it as it was very central and a reasonable price. Very easy to find with the entrance on the forth floor of the building via a lift. First impressions didn't bode well but we always give these place a chance. small reception with a very helpful bloke.
Pictures of rooms don't really show what you get but needless to say this place is very well worn. The carpets in place had bad stains. the decor is a bit drab.
It had a large bathroom again finishing touches need to be addressed. clean towels were provided which you would expect. tea and coffee facilities and air con which actually worked.
The bed wasn't to cumfi no memory foam just very lumpy springs but at least it was clean sheeted.
Breakfast consisted of the normal continental style meats and cheese with cereals and fruit. tea coffee with fruit juices but what makes this breakfast stand out wasn't what was on offer but the location. Having breakfast on a sun lit roof top terrace with the Florence sky line as the view. well worth it in my books.
The hotel also provided refreshments and a few alcoholic beers. again at a price. The hotel wifi never worked it would never stay on so don't rely on it.
To only really saving grace for this hotel was the roof top terrace with i must say the most spectacular view of the Florence skyline and the Domed Basilica next door. Sat on a warm summer evening on this roof top terrace with a cool beer just helps you forgives the failings of the hotel and its rooms.
All in all an adequate budget hotel in a lovely city.

Finding the hotel was a bit of a challenge although it is only a few seconds walk from Il Duomo etc. Once inside the reception staff were professional and pleasant. The room was clean and well presented with room safe and air conditioning. The beds are comfortable with soft pillows - necessary for a good night's sleep. The views across Florence from the terrace are amazing. Breakfast is a simple/modest buffet. Only downside is the shower curtain in the bathroom. The floor still gets wet an slippery. I hope if they are able to upgrade that consideration will be given to improving the showers.

Hotel Villani is certainly in the heart of Florence, beside that, the very very important is his staffs, kind, helpful and good temper to explain everything you are eager to about this city. I advise all of you try to stay Hotel Villani for your holiday in Florence.

Room Tip: The room is perfect deco as it is the old style with high roof. So the space is fit to your demand.

Despite the 2 star rating it's a very sweet small hotel that reminds me alittle of faulty towers. It's quiet and unassuming. It's loacation is what you pay for , as for the rests it's what you make and I for one had a wonderful time in Florence . I would rebook at the hotel villani
