This was a weekend break with my wife and she loves the modern quirky style hotels. This just hit the spot.
A bit out of hte way - which means that the noise levels we down (good). What I liked was that you pass some great local stores on the walk (approx 15 min) to town. You get to see parts of the city that are not on the 'main drag'.
The room itself was 'compact' but not too small. As long as you don't have massive bags, you will be fine. Bed comfortable and the lighting was awesome. Just look at some of the pics and you will see what I mean.

The furniture in the bar / foyer is modern and funky, which pretty much sums up this hotel.

One thing to see is the different doors on the rooms. They are all painted individually and very impressive. It is a small hotel, but it has it's charms, I'd defo think about goign back.,

We stayed two nights in one of Una's Classic rooms. These are seriously cool, unique, little rooms! Their ultra-modern theme contrasts sharply to Florence's rich historic sites, making it nice to come "home" to after a day of exploring. The fiber optic lighting in the walls around the bed alone makes it worth staying here.

For 30 Euro a night we were offered parking, internet, and unlimited mini bar access, which is a pretty solid deal if you take advantage of the mini bar. Do note that these are European style hotel rooms - you may have a hard time finding a place to put two suitcases (we stacked ours outside the bathroom)!

It's a short walk (15-20 minutes) from this hotel to the historic centre of Florence. Plan your route to walk along the river, which is very picturesque. If you're in a hurry and need to take a cab, it'll cost you about 15 Euro.

The offerings for breakfast were extensive, and the staff was very helpful. They even provided recommendations for wine touring in Tuscany.

We would look into staying here again in Florence.

An excellent hotel which was the basis for a very successful trip to Florence. I thoroughly endorse all the good things that others have said about the hotel - we could find no fault with it and recommend it most strongly. Two tips. The hotel runs a timetabled shuttle service to and from the Central station. If arriving from Pisa Airport by train or coach - as many will - it is worth checking with the Hotel in advance to see if the shuttle will be at the station at an appropriate time. Although the walk to the hotel is about 20minutes it is no fun if carrying heavy baggage in the heat! If walking from the hotel to the centre of Florence - again about 20 minutes - don't go along the Via Pisana, which is narrow and full of traffic, but go straight ahead from the hotel to the River Arno (a couple of minutes) and then straight along the river bank road tothe centre. Much easier walk and less traffic and better views.

Special trip to florence for husbands 40th last week. This hotel was fantastic. The staff were helpful, polite and so efficient. The breakfast was so tasty and fresh and, the room was wonderful. Told staff about occassion and left a bottle spumante in an icebucket in the room. My only downpoint was that I could not get a booking in their sister hotel in Rome for the balance of our trip. Will definitely use this hotel group again and would highly recommend it.

This hotel is situated about 5 minutes walk from the Vittoria bridge so basically at one end of Florence. It was about 10-15 minutes to walk to the Vecchio bridge but as the sites are quite spread out around Florence and you plan to see them, then you will be doing some walking anyway so it's position was fine by us and it was peaceful.

The rooms were bijou but fab. As you walked into the room you had a mosaic tiled purple bathroom with large walk in shower to the right. You walk down a corridor of a mirrored wall and a wardrobe on the right then into the main room which had padded tiled walls with fibre optic lighting. The space was small but the funky design made up for it. Very cool.

In the evening they have free finger food on the bar. All drinks seem to be 5 Euros wherever you go, from wine, beer and coke etc so although quite expensive especially for the latter, no more so than anywhere else. In fact, the coffee was the cheapest we found, at the hotel at 3 Euros over everywhere else was around 4.

Breakfast was a buffet but good quality food from fruit salad, cereal, pastries/cakes, cold meats and cheese and hotel breakfast selections. Coffee however you liked it, or tea, all made to order rather than having to use a dispenser as with many hotels.

The only downside was that the airconditioning wasn't great, it seemed to revert back to 'off' after a while but it wasn't too disasterous and outside did get up to 30 degrees.

A shuttle bus takes you to the main station, timings generally morning and then from 4.30 in the afternoon.

Very enjoyable stay, would definitely recommend.

My fiance and I arrived here late at night after a long days travelling and 1st impressions were great. Check in was swift and efficient. The lobby area is really cool and funky. We went up to our room which was just as crazy and funky! LED lights in headboard, monochrome huge bathroom, bar at the end of the bed, cool dressing area. Without the coolest hotel room Ive ever styed in! I agree with previous reviews, if you were staying in and trying to read it would be pretty difficult as the lights are very low.
I went down to the bar for 2 gin & tonics to bring back to the room. On the bar there is an array of canapes which you can help yourself to. A really nice touch that we took advantge of! The barman was very friendly, and helped me arrange everythign on a tray to bring back upstairs.
Breakfast was fantastic, with everything o offer of great qaulity. We loved the prosecoo, another lovely touch!
We got a taxi into Florence the the morning as our time was limited but it would prob be apx 20 min walk, not too bad for a beautiful hotel in a lovely quiet location.

I was in the hotel for my honeymoon with my wife and our experience of the original design of the rooms and the other hotel facilities was exquisite :)
Frontdesk staff were also helpful and friendly and the room was clean and comfortable as we expected when we were browsing for hotels to choose for our honeymoon trip to Italy.
We really recommend this romantic hotel.
