This merchant house has fantastic frescoes over three floors. The artwork in the main bedroom captures an interesting story of romance and intrigue across four walls.

The was a wonderful glimpse into the life of the people that lived here hundreds of years ago. It was so nice to see the furniture, art and especially the kitchen items. The display of lacework with Christing caps and gowns were fantastic.

A magnificent urban palazzo! You can learn a lot about the living conditions of a noble family, a lot of interior and household items. Excellent historical decoration of the premises. Very welcoming staff who explain the peculiarities of the Renaissance household.

Palazzo Davanzati is a remarkable, early building (1500s) - and the structure shows living and working spaces, including the kitchen on the third floor, an internal well, and early bathrooms.

The wall decorations are remarkable..

However, the furnishings are replacments (rather than originals).

Recommended is a visit to see the structure and what it reveals.
