Apartments in Florence is an agency that claims that is different that the other agencies that just want to get your money. They also claim that they will take care of everything, since you are paying a big agency fee (for no reason). We booked apartments twice from them for a long term stay (2 years in total).
The people who work there, they don't even know where and how the apartments are. They show them to you and discover them the same time you do.
They are only about money and every time new "extra costs" come out of nowhere, that you have to pay, without even been written in the contract.
They don't care if the internet is not working for months and their behavior when you ask them nicely to do their job is terrible. They don't know what customer service is.
In one of the apartments (the mouse hole), we were sharing the internet with 5 other apartments, meaning it wouldn't work most of the time. And they of course lied about it and all the neighbors found out.
All the neighbors where their clients of course and we all were complaining to them and writing to fix the problem and they never did.
We were all paying 40 euros / month for internet by the way, which is suppose to be 20 euros / month if you have your own line.
A girl who was staying across the hall didn't have a quilt for the winter and she was really cold and when she asked them they denied it to her and I had to give her one, since she was staying there for 3 months and of course didn't want to buy it.
When the bathroom water pipes got blocked and couldn't use the shower for days, they wanted us to pay for the plumber and the visiting fees. And of course the problem happened because for 10 - 20 years they didn't clean the pipes, as the plumber we called said. He unblocked them the same day, which cost 400 euros and they wanted us to pay the damage that happened through out the years, while we were staying there only for 3 months at the time. The owner of the apartment was very nice though and accepted immediately to pay the damage, as a more logical human being than the people who worked at agency of course.
We had to let them know what are the Italian laws and how they work in order for us not to lose our deposit. They are the Italians and they run an Italian company and they should be aware of the laws and our rights, but no. They were just trying to get more money. And at the end, they gave us the deposit back as they were supposed to, and kept 300 euros for themselves, just like that, for no reason at all. Not written in the contract. Just saying that we needed to pay the owners agency fee. What?
Anyway, there are dozens of bad things that happened during those 2 years and I cannot bore you with all of them, but I would just advise you do never get an apartment from this agency. Especially for a long period. Trust me, you will regret it.
This apartment by the way, was not bad, and the owner was good, which unfortunately, they didn't let us talk to or meet, for obvious reasons...
