Owner description: The Accidental Tourist was born in the spring of 1998 offering the first single-day hands-on cooking class in Tuscany. We welcome the curious and open-minded traveler in the heart of our Tuscan home, for an authentic yet magical experience. We take a maximum of 8 people, but will go with as few as one: we never leave the solo traveler behind. We welcome families with children as we know how challenging it can be to travel with the young ones in the Old Country. AND, we charge for our tours only if our guests are happy to pay for their day with us.

Everything from start to finish was absolutely perfect!!The experience was intimate, informative and DELICIOUS! Everyone took the most care of us and opened their home to us and it was pure magic! The food was so delicious and the view was EPIC! You must do this if you are in Florence!

What an incredible experience. We were lucky enough to end up with a private class with Gabriella and were truly enveloped into their family. The ride out to Rignano sull'Arno was stunning and a great chance to get out of the city. Gabriella and her husband had snacks prepared for us, were so caring and patient, and taught us the value of great ingredients for a simple dish. Pasta and ravioli were fun (and replicable back home!), and dinner on the patio with Gabriella and her daughter was surreal. Not only will we recommend this to all of our friends visiting Tuscany, but we'll be back for another class and hopefully to stay longer!

This cooking class was excellent! Majla and her husband were so welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind! My husband and I took their cooking class together and learned so much from them! We had a great time! It was also so nice to be picked up in Florence and taken to their home! A great way to see a little bit of Tuscany as well. The pasta we made was delicious and Majla was so accommodating! We booked last minute due to a change in our schedule (train strike) and it was the best decision we made! Thank you so much! I highly recommend this experience especially if you are new to pasta making!

We did the pasta making class with Majla in April with our two children ages 12 and 14. We weren't sure what to expect but it was perfect from start to finish! Majla's castle is beautiful, and she is so warm and friendly. We started with wine and then made the pasta from scratch. It was fun and educational :-) We also purchased the olive oil made there and it is delicious! We finished with a lunch (eating our own homemade pasta) with the other family visiting who made the pasta with us, and then we had a tour of the castle, ending with a stop on the lookout at the top - so beautiful! My children still cannot stop talking about it and they want to go back.

How lovely of you to remember! Thanks, I truly appreciate it. A big hug to your kids. Hope to see you again when they are taller than you! (anyday now...That's how it happened to me).
Til then, make plenty of pasta!

The Wine & Cooking tour was one of the best things we did in Italy. My husband and I enjoyed meeting our hosts and the other guests. Everyone was friendly and we shared many laughs. The wine tasting was very informative, our host was passionate about his wonderful wines. The tour of the castle grounds was delightful. Learning to make pasta and ravioli was a little work and a lot of fun, we were amazed by the delicious results.
We shared beautiful food, great wine and happy conversation on the terrace of our hosts' gorgeous old home.
We will always remember this wonderful evening in Tuscany!
