Visited this Michelin star restaurant on New Year's Eve. From the amazing food to the most incredible wine cellar you can imagine this place has it all. As you would expect the service was outstanding and nothing could be faulted. A truely worth while experience especially for a special occasion.

My wife and I are great food fanatics and we have been touring the Michelin starred restaurants for the last 10 years, gathering a good feel of what standards are required to deserve the distinctions. We also appreciate simple restaurants when food is fine and genuine;
Enoteca pinchiorri offers and outdated and neglected pretentious decoration of red carpets and white walls covered by paintings hanging on visible steel chains with over bright lighting...We would have forgiven that had the food been great . We both ordered the 9 course tasting menu , usually offering the guest a fine display of a chef's talent.
The food was worse than the decoration : disappointingly uninspired , unrefined ( the chef uses " crust " in every second dish , what a creativity !!!) , poorly executed with two dishes well overcooked. The two desserts dishes reached an improbable summum of mediocrity with fruits so immature & hard that I could barely cut them.
The wine list offered us very little choice under 300€ per bottle, a complete rip off.
For a 700€ diner , we had a massive disappointment that spoiled our evening.
It is a shame that Michelin grants this restaurant 3 stars when it is not worth even one!
To finish on a positive note, we had lunch that same day in a small, unpretentious restaurant called Parione ( via Parione, near the arno river) . It served the very best Osso bucco we ever had . With a glass of good Barollo , we were happy people for less than 25€ each !!!

The best restaurant in Florence without a doubt. 5 star in every way. The quality and presentation was flawless. The only restaurant we have ever been to that has a 'Water List'. The wine list is awesome but staring prices are very high - circa 80 Euros. Our daughter was blown away with the chocolate deserts !

To all those who hate this restaurant because of its price...It's a highly rated michelin star restaurant. You are not going to Denny's and are not going to get large scoops of food. The refinement and extravagence is awesome. The atmosphere is proper and the sevice is impeccable. The food is gorgeous, delicious, portioned properly and inventive. This is not an "Every Friday" dinner night but definitely an experience to indulge in which grasps a foodies palate and peaks a diners interest. A must go!

Please note that this is the first 1 star I ever given in TA

- the waiters are very tense and do not smile. It's like they are afraid to make mistakes. This whole "treating you like a royal thing", it's just faking too much

- they are very arrogant (fine I am in smart casual only, maybe that's why). I suggest you to go in full formal

- wine is very overpriced (the cheapest option is a 200 euro wine pairing for 4 wine. All good wine, but not THAT good)

- food is nice but lacks character, I don't know whether they are French or Italian or what the Americans call "new American"

Having said that I am sure they are worth 3 michelin stars, because this is exactly this kind of awkward experience that they value

I am just saying at the end of the day, you need to ask yourself what are you really looking for in a good meal?

This restaurant is just not for me.
