The location was wonderful and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, there is no adequate seating, which made any prolonged time in the apartment uncomfortable. There would be hours while my daughter was still sleeping and I was trying to get work done in the kitchen and my choices were cracked plastic chairs, a plastic stool, or the cardboard chair from the desk. The dishwasher was broken during our whole month though I do know they were working on getting a part, but the big issue was seating, and I was very disappointed that apartment owner didn't see a need to replace the cracked chairs at the very least. I was also surprised to see that the desk chair was folded cardboard, which did not seem very sturdy. I've stayed with Apartments Florence before and had a wonderful experience, but we couldn't wait to get home and leave this apartment behind us. A month felt like a long time to stay with nowhere to sit, but it probably would have been fine for a week-long visit.
The apartment s located in an excellent position within few minutes of all main tourist sites. It is well maintained and clean. The booking in was very efficient . On the downside if you have any mobility problems then it is not for you as there are 2 flights of quite steep stairs. It has a large bedroom but no sofa or chairs so if wishing to relax there was no option but to ly on the bed. The kitchen is small and compact well equipped with everything needed. However the bathroom is tiny and the shower is not suitable for anyone over 5.8 as your head would touch the roof. Personally I found it quite claustrophobic.Checkout was horrendous. We had arranged to check out at 09.10 as we had a train at 10.38 to Rome. This was to give us sufficient time to check out and get taxi to station. However the agent had not turned up on time and we had to call the office to enquire. He eventually arrived almost 25 minutes late. We asked him to arrange a taxi which he was unable to do as they were busy. His only advise was to go for breakfast and see if he could get one later. This was not an option as a result of him being late and time he took to check us out we were under a severe time restraint. He accompanied us to taxi where we were eventually required to walk to the station with all our luggage. He merely waved goodbye. As a result we had an extremely stressful walk to the station and had no time to eat before boarding train. Although there was nothing he could have done if taxis were busy the fact that he was late put us under considerable time pressure something that we had wished to avoid. There was no excuse for a late arrival as he was on a cycle and could therefore hardly blame traffic.
