We had a wonderful stay in Lucca at the Albergo Celide. Our room was well appointed with a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. Our first day we used the complimentary bikes to ride on the wall around the city which was a terrific way to acquaint ourselves with this totally charming city.
The hotel is in a good location just outside the city walls with a easy walk or bike to all the sites within the city walls. It is also an easy walk to the train station. We ate at the fish restaurant that is part of the hotel complex and it was very good. Both of us are gluten free and they did a great job of directing us to some delicious food.
Breakfast at the hotel was very good as well with a nice selection of breakfast items.More
