This is a great place to stay. It is in the historic old town of Lucca. They are very few rooms. Ours was decorated in keeping with the building. We had no view to speak of but the room was still very nice. There is a comfortable lounge that doubles as the breakfast room. The breakfast is a sweet Italian breakfast. You can also order eggs. The service if friendly and personal.
There are a couple of caveats. The reception is only open for a few hours in the evening and at breakfast in the morning. Outside these times you are in your own and you have to arrive after 15:00, if you are early you can't even drop your luggage. The other is that there is no lift and the property is up a couple of flights of stairs so if you find stairs difficult this is not the place for youMore
