You know you have found a hidden gem when you are the only English speakers in a bustling restaurant! Greeted like old friends when we went there for the second time. Absolutely the best pizza sauce ever, large array of pizzas, wood-fired oven in full view, and very good pasta too. Tiramisu was generous and creamy. We ate there twice in 3 days. Highly recommended.

We ate here for lunch. We were asked to wait 5 mins for a table and another 20 for the pizza as they were very busy. Locals frequent here too so that's usually a good sign. Staff were friendly but were very busy so didn't stop to chat but that didn't bother us. The pizza was delicious and the house wine was too. It only cost €17 for two pizzas and half a litre of house wine. Highly recommended.

They managed to fit us in without a reservation, although the woman (older) who greeted us gave the impression that it was something of an effort to see if they had a table for paying customers.

It is pleasant inside, if not a little bland. It took a while before anyone came to take our orders, no drinks offered.

It was busy with a lively atmosphere. The football was shown on 2 large television screens. It was largely families with youngish children whilst we were there (8pm ish) although couples too.

The food was fine. It arrived in a strange order though. The adult starters and one child’s pasta. Then a little while later the child’s pizza (note no children’s menu so these were adult portions, not large btw). Then during our starter one of the sides for our main arrived. We had to ask them to clear our starter and the mains arrived immediately. The second side for the mains arrived much later. The grilled chicken we’d ordered wasn’t available so we had the “roast beef” on recommendation. That was really tasty. It was literally just very thin slices of beef though! We asked for a litre car of wine. They clearly thought half was enough as having requested a refill 3 times no more was forthcoming (this was our first drink of the evening btw).

We had to go up to the cash desk near the entrance to pay as the bill never arrived, despite requesting it several times.

We were perfectly polite and friendly.

I did feel for the woman on the cash desk though. She asked if everything had been OK as they were really busy. A little communication would have gone a long way. Meanwhile the older woman was still going about the place with a martyred air and to be honest, none of the staff gave any appearance of wanting to be there.
