Loved staying right in the heart of things. Got up early (around 8 am) and had the entire town to ourselves for half an hour or so. Nice room, friendly welcome, interesting room (like a loft with a slanted roof) with a small view of the square. Plumbing made noise all night, however (Blu room).

Room Tip: Ask about the plumbing situation if they are putting you in the Blu room.

My husband and I had a disappointing stay. As a hotel, we really felt that the reception should be open for more than 4 hours per day. On the first day, when we left to have dinner, we said to the receptionist (owner's wife) that our aircon wasn't working (room 8). She said she'd fix it while we were out. We arrived back about 10pm and the aircon had not been fixed and reception was closed. We got very little sleep as it was so so hot. The TV and bed side light didn't work and also, in our bedroom door there was a large window, which meant that every time a guest went up the stairs and turned the light on, it seemed as if the main light on our room was turned on. By the morning, we felt terrible - hot and having had no sleep, only to find that the shower barely worked. If there had been a fully operating reception desk, we could have asked for help during the night but instead waiting until 11.30am - by which time I had to call the hotel owner as reception was still not open. After many communication problems, we were eventually moved to another room, where thankfully the aircon was better. We asked for a discount for the previous night as we had such a bad experience but the owner's wife laughed and said 'ah, but it is not my problem'. Eventually we got a 10euro discount which was what they charged for parking in their carpark! The only positive about this hotel was its location. This is when you feel screwed that you have booked two nights and you cannot leave as will get charged anyway.

Room Tip: Don't stay here then you will be fine!!

This hotel is perfectly located for easy visits through out the day and evening. It was well furnished and certainly very well located. Our room was on the second floor overlooking roof tops and the side street but you could see parts of the Piazza Delle Erbe if you poked your head out the window. Quiet location, great bed , terrible tv. small shower stall but it all served us well.. and we loved the linen towels found in all hotels in Italy that we stayed in.
Stepping out the lobby door on a Saturday morning you find the Farmers Market all set up selling fruits , veggie and even fresh made pork sandwhichs carved right off the huge leg of pork in front of you. and on Sunday the local Flea Market. It was charming to be right in the middle of everyday life.
The only down side was finding the office in the Piazza before Delle Erbe, which is also a tax refund and currency exchange office, next to the Information office if I remember correctly. Great breakfast spots and fantastic shopping all around.
Both my daughter and I wish we had more time to stay longer here. We would happily stay here another time. I miss it already!
The photos on this web site were not any I saw...try eurobookings.com for accurate photos of the rooms.

The room was quite small, but very charming and with one of the best location and view around. No reception (you have to announce when you show up or call the owner when you are on spot, but he really is 50 m. away). Considering the low rates, there is no breakfast, so I took a coffee and piece of cake at the nice bar downstairs, very convinient actually, nice service (I took a picture of the place from the window, they have a nice terrasse).
We received an upgrade to a superior room with bathroom because not all rooms were occupied.
