Gentle, elegant, old-fashioned hotel, the Brufani sits on a hill, in the historical center of the town and offered spectacular views from our Deluxe Suite windows. Impeccable reception and service. Ate all our meals in the amazing restaurant with a menu filled with local Umbrian specialties and an exceptional wine list. I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. What a treat!

Superbly sited large hotel within walking distance of all the main attractions. Helpful and informative staff. Large well equipped ensuite room. Good range for breakfast served in large dining room. Amazing basement swimming pool and fitness room built into Etruscan ruins.
Arrived by car........no porter..........nice barman took me to reception.
Miserable git in reception said go outside and find man in green suite to unload bags.....he was not there.
I the waited 10 min whilst he found the porter and made several phone calls...... he then passed me over to his assistant who was very helpful and charming.....I would not employ the head receptionist, I would in fact sack him!
I had a suite........large room, overlooking roofs and car park......I should have demanded a change !£%^$!
Bathroom small but had tiny shower & bath.
Room was very tired.......MANY CIGARETTE BURNS IN CARPET! Furniture prehistoric and paintings from a car boot sale.
Internet was good..........but required email address and their rights to sell it on!
The hotel is very beautiful and perfectly located in elegant piazza Italia at the beginning of via Vanucci and a 5 min walk from the Duomo. The space in front of the hotel is tight, so if you are coming by car (valet partking 20 Euro/night) be patient.
The staff was quite pleasant but not overly so, although one member of the team was exceedingly helpful.
The room was nicely appointed with a spectacular view and there is a rooftop bar with great views in every direction.
On the downside, the beds were VERY firm and the pillows small and hard like bricks, not very conducive to good sleep.
Presumably, there is a gym and a pool. Once you descent 3 floors below the ground you discover a tiny pool and a couple of ancient exercise bikes with an assortment of puny dumbbells. Very disappointing.
Overall a good choice if you are not a picky sleeper.
Perfectly located in the heart of the Old Town, the Brufani is comfortable, if not luxurious; more 4-star than 5 in terms of room amenities, facility updates and common areas.
Still, it's a very decent option for exploring lovely Perugia-- especially when you can return to the lobby bar and enjoy the personable, highly professional service of the charming young woman in charge. She offers excellent local wines by the glass and complimentary munchies to accompany them. So delightful and relaxing after a long day of shopping and exploring!
This is a historic hotel and is very grand. The staff is extremely professional & accommodating. We were greeted by the general manager, our room was upgraded to a beautiful suite with complimentary fruit & wine. What a pleasure this all was. The views from our hotel room were fabulous and the breakfasts were very good. It is located across the cul-de-sac from a park like piazza which was so lovely to sit on the benches and enjoy the views from. Loved everything about the hotel.
