Me and my family stayed at the "del Perugino" apartment at Villa Nuba and we really loved it! The apartment is on the ground floor with the garden outside and has its own terrace where you can sit to eat and talk until late at night watching the lovely sunset. The apartment is spacious and the owner has put an effort in every detail for example the ceiling in the bedrooms where you can look at the stars while you fall a sleep. The beds are nice and you sleep well. We were feeling very welcome by the owner when we arrived! He took us on a tour around Perugia showing where to shop, take the bus, city car parks and the closest pizza restaurant.
We also got a basket of some pasta and sauce to cook for one night and for one breakfast which was great since we arrived late on a sunday when the shop was closed. It made us feel very welcome.
We used the kitchen a lot since we like to cook and it is well equipped. The knives in the kitchen would have to be replaced because they were not that sharp but otherwise it was ok. There are herbs right outside the apartment that we were welcomed to use for cooking which was very nice! The pool area was really great and our teenage daughters love to swim and play in the pool. There are alot of sunbeds and you can choose if you want to be in the sun or in the shade under the cabanas. There was a fantastic view of the surroundungs from the pool area since the estate is in a slope high up and the view and sunset from here is really beautiful! This is a place where you feel like home and where you can stay for a long time!

Our stay at "Villa Nuba" will forever be in my mind. Our host, Giuseppe, was not only charming and attentive, but also made sure we were always well at home. Not only in the Villa, as he helped us book taxis and get train info for our many visits to other Umbrian towns. Umbria, is Italy, at its best.
Our accommodations, were like having your own home in Italy and your new cousin, Giuseppe, added all the help necessary, to making you feel like you never wanted to leave.
Villa Nuba, Bello!
Many destinations are only a few minutes to 2 hours away. For more memories of this special place, in the world.

We stayed at Villa Nuba for 3 months in 2009, 10 days in 2015, and this year 2017, along with my brother and sister in law stayed at Villa Nuba for a month. We call Villa Nuba our home in a Italy. It is quaint, charming, and the epitome of living in Italy. Giuseppe and his Family have become friends like family to us. They are wonderful people who are hospitable, helpful, friendly, and treat their guests extremely well. Villa Nuba is located in a spot in Perugia that just says "home". There is a grocery store in walking distance and the location is in the perfect spot for bus access and very near the train station, which works for those of us that want to see all those fabulous hill cities of Perugia but do not want to rent a car. We have used Villa Nuba as our home base in Italy and travelled to many cities in Italy. We are planning to rent all three suites in 2019 to share our experiences with Villa Nuba and the Family with our children and grandchildren. We highly recommend Villa Nuba as a place for long stays or short stays, romantic stays, single stays and Family stays. We know that once you've stayed there once you will want to return.

. Just back from our second stay at the Villa Nuba.-- this is noteworthy because my husband usually refuses to go anywhere a second time. But we had such a great experience last year that we immediately planned to return this year.
Once again, Villa Nuba met all our expectations. The Villa Nuba property, which is walking distance to the old town and shopping, is located in a quite country setting. We were in the Villa Pinturicchio. We woke every morning to the sounds of the birds, and watched the sun set each evening from our private balcony. We particularly enjoyed the private atmosphere. There are only three villas plus the owner's home. It feels more like your own home than a rental. Our villa has two bedrooms, a private balcony and also a private terrace area with a table for dining. It also has a washing machine and dishwasher and plenty of closet space. The bathroom has both a shower and a whirlpool tub. The kitchen comes equipped with all the basics and Giuseppe, the owner, provides a welcome basket of wine, pasta, bread etc . Free Wi-Fi is provided.. There is also a pool, a BBQ area and plenty of places to just sit and relax. There is even a small playground area. The pool water is cleaned with natural products so you don't get that chlorine effect on your eyes and hair. It was noticeably more pleasant to swim in.
The very best part is the personal attention that Giuseppe the owner pays to his guests. He provides a tour of the town to show you where to shop, best places to park etc. and can give personalized suggestions of places to visit while you are in Umbria. Since he lives on the property you never have to worry if something goes wrong or you have questions He speaks excellent English too. All in all we ended up feeling like part of the family--even the family cat paid a visit or two.
Perugia is centrally located. Visits to other historic hill towns in Umbria and also parts of Tuscany can all be done in day trips. To me, Umbria in general feels more relaxed and less touristy than for example, parts of Tuscany. Also, despite what you may have heard, the Perugia area was NOT involved in the earthquakes of 2016. I really recommend the area and if you go, don't pass up an opportunity to stay at Villa Nuba

Room Tip: rental car GPS have trouble finding Villa Nuba-follow Giuseppe's' directions and ignore GPS attempts to route you a different way!

We just spent a delightful week at Villa Nuba. We highly recommend this for so many reasons, the accommodation is a generous size , comfortable with all amenities. Close enough to Perugia (20 min walk, 5 mins car) but feel like you're in the country with the view and quietness. Giuseppe our host, resident owner, is extremely professional, friendly and gave us great suggestions on what to do, where to visit and fab eating experiences. He discreetly keeps an eye out to make sure you're ok without too much fuss, but responds to requests very quickly. Perugia is a great base to explore so many villages within an hour by car. Need a minimum of a week with so much to do. Thank you Giuseppe for making our stay so memorable, we hope to return again soon.
