+ Great location. Less than 10 min walk from the Luzern train station. Easy access to nearby restaurants, supermarkets (Coop, Migros), shops (pharmacies etc). About 15 mins walk to the Chapel Bridge en route to the Old Town.

+ Friendly, helpful and very polite staff. They make you feel welcome.

+ Rooms are clean, although a little small. We had a double bed room with a bathroom and a small balcony facing Mt Pilatus (see picture). Room was quiet despite being close to the train tracks.

+ In-house restaurant, Bolero, is good. They serve Spanish cuisine, and specialise in paella. Breakfast spread was quite good, with a decent spread.

+ Free coffee for hotel guests until 17:00 at the in-house Bolero restaurant.

– Not really a minus point, but wish the rooms were a little bigger. But given the limited estate/space (which is a premium in Switzerland), i think they have done pretty well.

– Breakfast was generally OK. But wish they have a more experienced cook for made-to-order eggs. We stayed there for 3 nights, and were not impressed with our "beaten up" eggs every morning (sunny side up and omelette). Not sure if the cook was a temporary stand-in (due to the summer holidays) or a new hire.

Would recommend and would return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view (facing Mt Pilatus).

This is a clean, modern hotel in a quiet section of downtown Luzern, just a few blocks from the touristy waterfront. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to the lake. The hotel is located near the train station, but I didn’t notice any noise from trains during our stay. If you drive, they have a parking lot adjacent to the hotel. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful with directions and suggestions for good restaurants. The breakfast in the hotel was superb with a wide variety of fruits, cheeses, meats, vegetables, cereals, yogurt, breads, coffees/teas/juices, and cook-to-order eggs. [If you don’t want to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant, there are other good options. The hotel desk has a list of recommended restaurants. One night we ate dinner at a local restaurant on the other side of the train tracks called Unterlachenhof, located at Tribschenstrasse 20. The food was delicious and it is a nice alternative to the busy restaurants right on the lake. Unterlachenhof is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel—just ask at the front desk.] Our room had a safe for storing valuables, and a modern bathroom with a shower and good water pressure. My only criticism is we upgraded to a Superior Room and our room was still small. Our room had a long hallway going back to the area where the bed was located, so perhaps that area was counted in the square footage. Otherwise, I would have given it a 5 start overall rating. I would definitely stay here again, but would do an additional upgrade to have a little more room.

Room Tip: Upgrade to get a room that is not small

This is a lovely hotel - we were in a family room and it was quite spacious for a European hotel room. The shower and bathroom were even a good size too, although the bathroom door is pretty well immediately next to the bigger bed, so privacy is not really an option, lol!
Beds were quite comfy (the towels were the nicest I've seen in a hotel in a long time) and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the mornings was great - lots of choices and lots of healthy foods and fruits also. Again, the staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful - it truly made this hotel feel like home.

We did not eat dinner at the restaurant onsite, but it was quite popular and the people we saw eating there looked very happy. We instead walked to restaurants along the river -just a fifteen minute walk away and also quite nice (though significantly more expensive...)
This hotel is a few blocks from the train station in more of a business themed area instead of the touristy area, it is in the opposite direction of the "main part" of town and is on the "other side"of the train tracks from the lake - so you will be walking quite a bit to get anywhere, but the town is small and beautiful everywhere, so nothing is more than ten or fifteen minutes away by foot.
note- the train is very convenient for getting to and from Luzern - trains run on time and there are a lot of them. There is also a mall underneath the train station with lots of stores and fast food outlets and a large grocery store to stock up on whatever you need that is open late every day. There's also a mini-mart in the train station that is open until 10 p.m., so you have a lot of shopping options right there!
great hotel and a great town!

Hotel is walking distance from railway station. So going anywhere is very easy. The staff is very pleasant. The room was excellent. Surprise it even had a balcony with a small table and two chairs. All items (non alcoholic) in the mini fridge is included in the room rent. Breakfast was excellent. If you want to overstay beyond check out time it is possible by paying CHF 10 per hour. They store your luggage too. Overall highly impressed.

This hotel is walking distance (about 7-8 or at max 10 min!) from the Lucerne station. So very convenient since it’s very close by. Lots of eating places and shopping places around. Lake Lucerne is also near by which is a boon! The hotel itself is a nice cosy little place . Their beds were very comfortable and the rooms nice and cosy! Breakfast was decent too! Staff always had this really nice smile and energy which is o nice ! Makes the guests feel good being there ! Helpful staff! Didn’t miss the usual other amenities like a pool etc since the stay was comfortable ! Thanks to the hotel for a very good stay!
