I booked this hotel based on the food reviews for a business trip. I do concur with other reviews on the friendliness of the staff and the quirky design. But I was not happy with my room on the first floor. I had specifically asked for a room on a higher floor when making the reservation. Two days before the trip, the reception told me that they had reserved a room on a higher floor and even upgraded me. So I was puzzled when I was finally put in a dark, stuffy room on the ground floor. When I asked to be moved, the only option offered to me was one floor higher with a special bathroom for handicapped guests.
On a side note: My work colleague who had booked the same rate on the same night got a room on the seventh floor without even asking for it.

Dear Guest

We are really sorry for this.
Normally if we have a possibility we offer the free upgrade.
I think that when you call before your arrival we give you one superior room instead of business and maybe just after someone a book upper floor room and we didn't had the choice.
We know that it's not really nice but we always try to find the better solution.
For the next time for be sure to have a upper floor please book one superior room.
We hope to see you next time for try to change your bad opinion..
Best regards
Martyna

A great hotel, short distance from railway station, on the Lake side of town. Comfortable, air conditioned room which was essential in June as outside it was 32 degrees Celsius! Wet room just inside the door was an interesting use of space, but functioned well when you got used to it! Good to have in room tea and coffee. Personally got slightly confused by the fact that hotel built into hill side, so floor two is down rather that up! Comfortable room though: would highly recommend for a stray in Lausanne .However, the 9th floor location of the breakfast room was one of the highlights of our stay!

Room tip: As noted above beware of floor numbering!

We a family of 4 stayed at the hotel in june 2017. the front desk was very helpful in suggesting places to look around. this hotel is near to the train station, walkable.
I found the rooms to be small, elegant. This hotel is near to the metro station and had the opportunity to travel to Ouchy Castle.

I stayed four nights on a work trip. Rooms are just as pictured and very quiet - could not hear a thing. Bedding is comfortable, plenty of plug ins and lights, very clean. Staff was most helpful both at the front desk and breakfast. The view from the top floor atrium during breakfast of the lake and alps is superb. The only thing missing was conditioner :) I will be back!

Originally booked elsewhere, but changed to the Agora Swiss as slightly cheaper, and international colleagues had booked.
Modern hotel, with basic amenities . Breakfast on the top floor had panoramic view across Lausanne and to the lake, and food was ample.
Rooms were comfortable , but I would recommend booking a standard room, rather than a single, if you are travelling alone, as the single room is quite small (I had booked a double, but my colleague had a single).
Location is reasonable (close to the train station, and a brisk walk down towards the lake). No views of the lake from the rooms.
Staff were friendly and efficient, and the price was relatively good for the area.
Underground garage available if you have a car, but bear in mind it's a very tight space (accessible by an elevator).

There are no business facilities (meeting rooms etc) other than the lobby, but if you're using the hotel purely as a place to sleep, I'd recommend it.

Room tip: Double room, higher up.
