Zürich is full of great restaurants, but I have the say that this place is very special.

Reservations are essential for visitors to the city as the locals like to keep this place to themselves.

The setting is intimate when this small bar and maybe 20 tables. The maitre'd is a lively and colorful character who works closely with the kitchen staff to ensure the menu is both rich and seasonal. He is also a wine connoisseur and can ensure that you have the perfect wine accompaniment to your selected menu. The wine list is incredible.

The servers were very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed the sautéed veal with mushrooms and creme fraiche - a Zurich delicacy - with Rosti.

My partner had venison with spetzli pasta. Enjoyed with a great German Riesling to begin, followed by a fine Swiss Red wine from the Italian region.

Can't praise this place enough - for CHF 100 per head it was really outstanding in this classy city.

Went over lunch with an internal client. Good food and warm atmosphere but it took ages to be served and to collect the bill. Soup was ok, although too hot and served in a small bowl (to keep it warm longer! Grrr) so i got burnt which made the rest of my lunch unpleasant.
We were sitting in the big room at the back, spacious and airy, but relatively noisy and i struggled at time to hear my guest. I will try again next year and will ask for one of those tables on the front area.

The excellent wine list here is a book! The friendly Swiss owner is a wine buff and a vintner in France himself, producing a very good and reasonably priced Bordeaux - style red. The food is very tasty and freshly prepared to perfection. Comfort food heaven! Tender and juicy entrecote in cognac mustard sauce, soft venison steaks, very fresh and large grilled loup de mer fillets and many seasonal variations of popular meal choices: a menu with a tempting selection of mouthwatering dishes. The restaurant is located in the best part of the posh Zurich shopping area of Bahnhofstrasse, a well - appointed, cozy oasis with attentive service, eager to satisfy any request.

Fresh food, good service, nice wine, good for dinner with a friend or over a business lunch with a colleague.

Small cosy restaurant next to Bahnhofstrassse. Great food, mainly traditionall swiss dishes in good quality. Great wines recommended by the charismatic host, Bü. Top professional service. At lunch the place is crowded with bankers, in the evening more relaxed.
