Located near Hirzenbach, Tram #7 (Probstei), then walk down hill one block and it’s actually located inside the Reformierte Church, but certainly don't let that be any concern. There is seating on the corner in the front garden and under the tree. Inside, there are a few small tables and one long table with high stools on each side.
The staff was super friendly, welcoming and could not have been more appreciative of my visit.
I inquired if they carried milk substitutes and was informed they have lactose-free and soy milk and one can choose between two types of powdered chocolate. Ok, sold! I ordered the soy milk hot chocolate and a slice of apple pie, which was served with water and a small cookie all for only 10CHF. Also, inquire about their frequent visitor card. There is hot/cold beverages, alcohol, sweets, snacks, pastries/desserts, soup, salad, sandwiches and more. They also offer specials during the lunch hour.
There are kids running around here everywhere playing with toys and enjoying games, newspapers, free secured Wi-Fi, and spotless restrooms. The staff was super friendly and most welcoming, even other customers were truly friendly and happy that you visited. A return visit is certainly in order and this place is highly recommended!
