Over a number of years we have stayed at this hotel. The location is central, the accommodations always comfortable and modern and service is good. Our room was large and the bathroom facilities modern and spotless. A very nice breakfast has always been part of the offering. Over the years as the premises are refurbished the atmosphere and decor have become less teutonic and more international. Weather permitting there is a lovely garden. I also miss the regular morning ringing of the bells in the nearby church but I suspect the hotel has nothing to do with the infrequency of the ringing. Prices are reasonable for the offering in this expensive city. (Caused by the strength of the Swiss currency against the dollar.)
I have one small quibble which is the absence of lotion in the bathrooms and the fact that there is only a combined body wash/shampoo/and conditioner. Maybe the Swiss have developed a good combined product but methinks it a bit too "efficient."
On previous visits I always booked an interior room thinking it would be quieter. This time we had a room with a street view and did not find it at all noisy.More
