After walking down to see the Wyrm, we decided to stop for a light lunch at the Wormshead Hotel. We were NOT disappointed. It was gorgeous, as was the views. Make the time to stop, you won't be wasting time but enjoying it.

Fantastic views, we arrived in sunshine and everywhere we looked was simply stunning but even in the wind and rain you couldn’t help but stare at the dramatic scenes!

Our room was very big but not particularly well furnished, lacking a coffee table which would have been useful! The bed though was very comfortable and the extra pillows I need but so often have to go and ask for, were already stored in the wardrobe.

The jaded bathroom had an extremely poor shower which had everything soaked including the floor!

The views and the friendliness of the staff and other customers more than made up for the minor shortcomings, all of which a bit of TLC would put right!

We had breakfast both mornings and ate in the pub both evenings and everything was faultless! I recommend the sticky toffee pudding!

All in all a lovely short break!

This was our first time staying at the Worms Head Hotel though we had eaten at the restaurant in other years. Our room was large with a king-size bed (unusual for the UK), comfortable arm chairs and a full bath.
Every room has a good view either of the beach or the Worms Head.
The location s perfect for long walks towards the coast, along the beach ad up the downs, There are Tide Tables in the room so that you avoid being cut off by the tides if you walk out to the Worm.
The Car Park is owned by the National Trust but you can get a sticker at 5 pounds a day for your whole stay. (Free to National Trust members)
And the Restaurant serves great food.

Walked the Gower to eat here on a cold blustery day. No dogs allowed inside in spite of both bar and restaurant being almost empty. Were sent outside in high winds to eat. My husband had chicken curry, I had four bean chilli, served tepid and was school food at best. They are missing a trick or two here!! Even the notes selotaped to the front door give an unfriendly negative impression

Having read many reviews on here about bad management, I have nothing at all to fault. We stayed here 3 weeks ago, our room had a fantastic view of the Bay and was clean and comfortable. Our greeting was friendly and accommodating. During dinner the Manager overhead us ask for mint sauce, to which the waiter replied that they didn't have any. He left the company he was with and got this for us himself whilst he was in the middle of eating. I have stayed in many hotels over the years and have to say that this tops most. I didn't find the management rude in any way. The breakfast was very amusing, the tap from the fresh orange juice dispenser came away and poured out all over the floor but there was no fuss. I would highly recommend the Worms Head Hotel and will be back again soon. Unfortunately they only had one night available so on the second night we transferred to a nearby hotel with a higher star rating (The King Arthur). There was a wedding there and the noise went well into the early hours. When we asked if we could have a table for dinner, we were rudely told no, then the waitress sighed and said we could sit there for 45 mins if we hurried up to order. Definitely the Worms Head for view and service any time!
