We (5 of us) had a wonderful dinner at Artisan last night.
We were seated in the courtyard, it is lovely.
The ambiance of the restaurant inside looked very nice as well, but being outside on this warm summer evening was great. The church in the background with its bells tolling every hour was pretty cool.
Two people ordered the chefs surprise menu with the matching wine flight.
Three ordered a la carte. Everything was delicious and the presentation was terrific.
A shout out to Lonneke, one of the owners and sommelier, her explanation about the wines and the regions of the wines were very helpful, as was her knowledge about the dishes being served.
We had a fantastic evening catching up with our friends and enjoying one of the best meals we have had in The Netherlands so far.
Go and visit, you won't be disappointed!

We had a business lunch at Artisan and went with the suggested lunch menu plus accompanying wine. We really liked the lunch. Nice dishes, well presented and good of taste. The wine was also very nice although servee a bit too cold.
The only sad thing is that we were the only guests so it was really quiet. Let's hope more people find this place on a Tuesday around lunchtime.

Chose this wine-lovers' restaurant based on other reviewers on here, and we were not disappointed. We went for a four course "surprise" menu: they ask what you don't like, and then provide a menu to suit. It's also available in other numbers of courses. We also went for the suggested accompanying wines.

The restaurant is not big, and the table well spaced, so it's probably essential to book. The seating is comfortable, and the ambience really amenable to an intimate meal. Food and wines were excellent; so good, in fact, that at the end of our meal we booked to come back the next evening! On that occasion we chose from the a la carte menu; again, each dish had a suggested wine which we appreciated.

There is an extensive wine list, many of which are available by the glass. Had we been around for another few days, we might have gone back again for the wine tasting menu, which features several smaller glasses of wine to taste, as well as full glasses accompanying the courses.

Very friendly service, and obviously very popular - it filled up on both nights we were there.

Had lunch there when visiting s'Hertogenbosch for the Bosch-exhibition. Very good food, notably the devil's fish terrine as starter. The drawback was that the two persons serving the tables mixed up a few requests which never materialised. That said, worthwhile to visit!

We chose the 3 course chefs surprise menu with accompanying wines . Super . Our waiter explained the ingredients of each course and brought the wine bottles to show us and elaborate on the matching qualities . Delicious food in a friendly relaxed atmosphere despite their being a large private party in the back room .
