Ok, make sure when planning your trip you buy these ONLINE! We almost didn't get in because it is ONLINE only for tickets and you have to have a reserved time. It is definitely worth the visit and will make you want to go out and read her book! Luckily they do have open spots occasionally online and if you are a gambling person just might get in that day.

I loved everything about it, the whole video recording to listen to and the rooms they were in and Anne Frank's diary and moments of her life before the tragic end.

Definitely would recommend more security or just look outs (granted the space is small), because there was a lady who was on the phone throughout the whole time we were on the line inside the house moving towards another video clip. I actually had to tap on her shoulder to ask her to get off the phone but I figured if there was a security there, she would've gotten off the phone much faster, it was extremely disrespectful.

Other than that, I enjoyed the visit.

This museum is small but amazing. The whole story of Anne and the people who hid in the apartments is told via audio guide and while it is crowded, it’s pretty easy to see the artifacts and understand the story. Takes about 45 minutes and you have to buy a ticket in advance.

The Anne Frank is a must do when visiting Amsterdam, Such a moving experience. Be warned that you should not just show up and expect to get right in, tickets need to be booked for entry at certain times. The tickets sell out rather quickly, so book early. Also be aware that there are many steps and steep stairwells, people with mobility issues will have issued with getting through the house.

Very moving experience. Make sure you book online because otherwise there is no chance to get in.
From Central Station you can take tram 17 that stops at the Westerkade, close to the Anne Frank Museum.
Also you are not allowed to go inside before the time that is given on your online ticket so prepare for that.
It is busy but the way it is organised you won’t noticed this to much when you go inside.
Don’t expect a full furnished house but displays and the audio tour tells you about the families who use to hide her for two years. There is a cafeteria on side where you can enjoy some refreshments after the tour. A most visit when you are in Amsterdam.

I saw this many years ago, but the presentation is so much better now. Always busy. You must book online well in advance. We were booked for 9:45 am on a Sunday. Arrived at 9:30 and were allowed in about 9:40, though I gather at times there can be long waits to go in.

This is more than just popular and so imperative to book online and arrive in good time. It is a very enlightening and interesting place. Read Anne's diary as being in the Annexe will make a different kind of sense than just a sketchy initial knowledge although there is a depth of information to absorb. Prepare to be moved and find out more, whatever you know. It opens a level of history of Amsterdam and Holland regarding WW11 that you may want to explore more. It will be crowded but the way it is arranged will allow easy passage. It is quiet and respectful.

Somewhat harrowing but a reminder that we must never allow this to happen again... I cannot say more....

After seeing a number of Holocaust sites throughout Europe and the world. This is the most personnel insight into a normal innocent family fight for survival. The stories of the friends that helped hide these two families will give you hope in humanity and the pins on the wall where Otto mapped the allied invasion whilst he was must have been thinking it was only a matter of time for liberation, only to be captured by the SS will bring a tear to your eye.
Book tickets before your arrival as this sells out.
