This is our third stay at this hotel and we'll go back again. Having taken a close look at what's there, I am confident that there is no better place to stay. Restaurant was great, pool was good, hot tub was great. We had a good time. Their excitement was addicting! We were given a whole list of family activities that went on all day to add to the festivites. can honestly say the staff was up to the challenge of what appeared to be a full house. The manager was out and about at all times on Saturday night and again on Sunday. Although he was busy, he also didn't hesitate to stop and greet the guests. The staff seemed busy but not stressed and all greeted us with a friendly hello in the halls.

Well located, 5 minutes from Dam square and easy walk to everything you might want to see.
Very nice reception, lounge, library area. I could happily have spent a couple of hours here just browsing the newspapers and watching people go by.
Really cool aquarium (for those that like that kind of thing) - especially the coral !

The bedroom we had was one of the basic ones, which although small was very comfortable.

Would happily stay here again.

This a delightful hotel, well situated in the town centre and within walking distance of a range of good restaurants. The décor has an Edwardian look to it; the reception area is warm and friendly and provides complimentary hot drinks throughout the day. The rooms were very comfortable and well maintained (with real room keys!) and breakfast was plentiful and varied. The hotel first opened in 1942, which must have been an interesting time to be opening a hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel was a real find and we would certainly stay there again.

This is my first trip to Amsterdam. I Chose very carefully the things that would be important to me for the trip and what would not, read other peoples comments and also looked at our budget.
I chose this hotel for its boutique acclective look, which i love, and its location.

We where not dissapointed at all. The decore of the hotel is fantastic, beautiful chandillers, blossom trees and funky wall paper. The staff where accomodating to our needs, polite and nothing was questioned. For example i am a very light sleeper and we had a deulux room street side. I Had a bad nights sleep due to the road noise ( and the couple next door bonking at 3 am ... very noisily... please note the walls are very thin there is no need to be extra vocal!) . I informed the laduy atr the desk who imediatly changed our room, and she was even kind enough to think about where the room was so it would cause us less issues to find it, they moved all our bags for us too.

Bags taken to the room on request no problem. we arrived at 0930am and our bags where safley stored until our return.

I would advise if your not a good sleeper to get a room that faces the patio garden. I wanted a view but to be honest your not in your room enough to be staring at the view. We stayed in room 300 on second night which they used for a family the night before as it is definatley larger that the previous one we stayed in, 302 however it was also a great room. My husband slept like a log in both rooms.

Loved the jucuzzi bath tub and walk in shower.

The free coffee/ tea, biscuits, sweets are an brilliant added bonus especially when u have been on your feet all day and you can sit in the lobby on the very comfy seats and enjoy a free drink!

We got a free upgrade to the delux room through tripadvisor which was great. We will be returning to amsterdam , and we will definatley be returning to the Hotel Estherea!!

Room Tip: As before if u want quiet a room facing the patio garden in the centre. room 300 bigger than standard delux room
