“Tiny lift !”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

We struggled to get in the lift with our luggage but as not all Amsterdam hotels in this price bracket have lifts things could have been worse. Whilst the bed was comfy and the location towards the rear meant we had no traffic noise our room was next to the lift which meant that we were particularly disturbed between the hours of 7:30 and 10am.
The room was fine but although there was a soap dispenser this was never stocked.
Location great if you like Leidesplein but a bit out for the area where we tend to enjoy.

The hotel is easy to get to from Central Station by a Number 9 Tram although we walked it in twenty minutes. Round the corner is the very good 'Rembrandt Square' which is surrounded by plenty of places to eat and relax. Although the hotel rooms were very small, they were clean. The reception area is relaxing and we never felt unwelcome there. I thought the coffee and drinks were reasonably priced too. I was able to print my boarding pass back to Scotland for free and no bother. A free safe was in the room for valuables. We would definitely use this hotel again.
Best of all we liked the relaxed atmosphere, the small rooms were the only downside.

Loved the flower picture above the bed, nice touch. Only problem we had was check in wasnt until 3pm, you could register your name and drop of your suitcase. They also only gave us one towel and had to leave 50euro deposit (but you do get it back at the end)

Its right in the heart of the touristic area of Rembrandtplein. Its close to Rembrandtplein, Muntplein and Vijzeltraat stations. You can also almost walk to the Dam Square (2 tram stops away) There are cool bars and nice restaurants around too! The rooms were nicely designed BUT its stuffy. It felt like the carpet is not cleaned thoroughly. Also, they didn't replenish toilettries. Additionally, the service I got was inconsistent. Some staff are really helpful and some are not. But, I'd stay here again because overall its good, breakfast is decent, the rooms are spacious enough for Amsterdam and there's free public wifi in the lobby :)

I stayed here on a stag weekend with 9 others. We paid a good price for the room and breakfast although not great, was included. The hotel is central and the staff are pleasant. The rooms are small but clean. There is some wear and tear of the room but I have given the hotel 4/5 for location and price.
