We stayed here for two nights in the Easter holidays. The hotel is easy to find, the number 9 tram from Central Station stops practically outside. Otherwise a 15-20 min walk. Reception staff were friendly and happy to store our bags until the room was ready (we arrived early at 12 noon).
Our triple room was really spacious with high ceilings and two huge french windows, so filled with light. A welcome touch was the fridge stocked with a variety of complimentary soft drinks.
The hotel is an old property and it does not have a lift. The stairs are narrow and steep so ask for a room downstairs if this is an issue. Breakfast is served in a grand dining room full of atmosphere and has a good variety of continental items, though no hot food apart from eggs.
Location wise, the hotel is a 3 min walk to Artis Zoo and the Hortus Botanicus, 10 mins to science museum NEMO and maritime museum, so great for family attractions.
Overall good value for money. Our only comment would be that the hotel is a little dated and could do with a makeover.More
