A visit here will not take long, but it is well worth it to take a detour from the shops and visit this oasis of calm.

What a wonderful place to visit. So tranquil and lovely to see. Went into the churches, both the Catholic and the Reformed English. Absolutely loved it and it was a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the busy center of Amsterdam.

Little oasis in the centre of Amsterdam. Originally build for Roman Catholic single women, still only women live her. Houses are in typical Amsterdam style.

We sought this place out after reading about it. Still occupied only by women, it was originally a kind of nunnery. Today the beautiful historic buildings are perfectly preserved. You can't go round any because they are people's homes, but it's lovely for a good photo and there is a little church too. Definitely worth it for a peaceful moment away from busy Amsterdam.

We stumbled upon this park by accident. Small but relatively quiet. There is a old church here as well.
