I've been there last week. Although it is the lowest price in the area next the central station. When i stepped i was shocked how the room was dirty.... I do not recommend this hotel! Sleep outside it is cleaner!

This hotel is ideal for fools like us who realised the nearby hostel is unbearably awful and decided to look elsewhere. The hotel is in a great location but even still it does not justify the expense.

The rooms are as basic as human rights laws allow. You get more living space in a Turkish prison cell yet pay ridiculous money for it. The staff working at the hotel are generally rude apart from a man who helped, or At least tried to help with our faulty door lock.

The inclusive breakfast, that you will struggle to keep a straight face at when presented with it, is basic, cold and bland - an ongoing theme with this hotel. A tray is presented with a slice of cheese, a slice of toast, a cup of muddy water and what I have since discovered was a hard boiled egg.

I would suggest you do some lunges and a full body stretch before attempting the stairs to your room. We were on the top floor and the reception is on the first floor meaning that you get a pretty intense work out if you have any queries or want to leave the hotel.

So if you don't mind huge expense for a hotel in which your room is 3-400 miles up a set of tiny stairs, where you share a toilet and shower with God knows how many other people and a fed food not suitable for sewer rats them this is the place for you. If like most normal people you expect a room that doesn't smell of urine and does not require a defribulator at the top of the stairs due to your inevitable heart attack at the top then for Christ sake book elsewhere in advanced.

We stumbled upon this place on a short break in Amsterdam, rooms very basic and not the cleanest but at €100 a night this was a lot cheaper than elsewhere, staff were very rude and not friendly but we didnt let that bother us!

Overall it's ok if your stuck for somewhere to stay otherwise be prepared!

The Jimmy hotel is a good hotel near the sightseeing places of Amsterdam, it's cheap and has a good breakfast and staff.
If you want a cheap nice hotel to stay in Amsterdam, then The Jimmy hotel is the one prefer.
