We (3 adults) booked two executive rooms for a 3 night stay. The hotel was easily accessible via public transport and in a great central location for exploring the sights of Brussels. There are also numerous restaurants and shops on its doorstep. Check in was quick but I found the staff rather stand-offish: it was case of here are your keys, breakfast isn’t included, now go! No smile or mention of the room or hotel facilities. I noticed in the hotel literature that minibar items were complementary for executive room guests, not wanting to pay £5 for a soft drink I went to reception to double check this and was told “you can pay if you want to”: that statement sums up the sarcastic attitude of the reception staff. The rooms felt a bit cramped and I didn’t like the layout of the wc/shower: basically the wc was separately housed and the shower and sink were together, I found this layout a bit strange as access was needed to the shower room for hand washing, generally when the wc is separate either there’s a small sink there or the sink is in an accessible situation. The room had tea/coffee making facilities but there was no crockery only paper cups, not my idea of “executive”. The house keeping staff were friendly and efficient, I wanted English Breakfast tea bags and as our housekeeper didn’t have them in her trolley, she later returned with a handful of them for us. The reception staff could do with some customer service lessons from the housekeeping team! Overall the hotel was adequate for our short stay, but with so many other hotels in close proximity I am not sure that we’d stay there again.

2 night stay. Booked Executive room, no upgrade (gold member). Good friendly service from staff. Breakfast good choice and adequate. Great location just off Le Grand Place and on the route to Brussels Central Station (5mins walk, trains to/from airport & other parts of Belgium etc). Rooms good size, bedding was very good this time compared to my stay in another Novotel when we were in Spain. Slept comfortably. Again a very well located Novotel with plenty of eateries on doorstep. Location is what you pay for here & I would stay again.

I am often in Brussels on business and used to stay at the IBIS but became dissatisfied with it and two years ago switched to the Novotel. I stayed there on 28th September and was reminded just how good this hotel is. As others have mentioned the location leaves nothing to be desired, particularly in relation to the Grand Place. All of the staff as usual were very professional and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom are of a good size and the breakfast was excellent, particularly the pastries. Only one minor gripe. Tea and coffee are supplied in the room but there is never any milk.

Location : The best part about this hotel. Righ next to Grand Place, the centre of Brussels. Everything was a short walk away. Enjoyed our day and did not waste time in travel.Ambience : Very good ambience, neat and clean, well maintained hotel.Room : Well maintained and turned out room. Comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. F&B : Good food. 9/10 on taste, 10/10 on presentation, 10/10 on serving, 9/10 on value for money. Ala carte dinner was a good experience with comfortable seating, prompt and cheerful service and good food. Buffet breakfast was very good, value for money, adequately lavish and tasty.Staff : A pleasant, cheerful and helpful staff complimented the hotel. There was some problem in our bathroom which was checked out promptly by the staff, and on finding no immediate solution, they shifted us to another room. An unpleasant experience was avoided due to the promptitude and cheerful disposition of the staff. Helpful suggestions by the front desk facilitated our visit around Brussels. Overall : A very pleasant experience overall. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Kudos to the hotel and staff.

The hotel is so conveniently located. Steps to Grand Place, many restaurants and malls. Train station is just behind it. chocolate shops close by. And besides it being in the midst of everything, it is very quiet at night. The only problem we had was that the door would not lock and we had to try numerous times. We even asked them to come fix. Not sure whether they did or not, but upon trying again, it still would not lock.

So in case you stay in this hotel, just check to see if the door locks when closing behind you. We took the risk of letting it stay unlocked as to get to the floor one needs to use their key in the elevator.

The beds were comfortable and they had wonderful teas available.

The staff is courteous . And best of all... Location location location. If you cant find a booking here, Hilton is just behind and Ibis right next to it. I am sure there are many more hotels there too.. But we just noticed these ones.
