well here is a good kept secret. the restaurant is a classic old fashioned place with total charm. the owner is the most charming man and so are the waiters . when it comes to the food you get the best dover sole, the best turbot and of course croquet aux crevettes ( grey shrimp) to die for . the fish is the freshest.it's real food like the belgians know how to serve. you add a good bottle of wine and bob's your uncle.
now its best kept secret how ever is in the dessert section .believe it or not it the Dame Blanche . Home made vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate and creme fresh ...lots of creme freche...ok lets face it those calories are so so worth it.It is the best dame blanche not just in town but anywhere.and i have eaten many over the years. He makes his own ice cream and there lies the difference.
truly this restaurants deserves every credit for its honesty and excellent fish.one of brussels best kept secrets

We chose this restaurant on Tripadvisor at the last minute because very few restaurants appeared to be open on a Sunday night.

It was a two minute Christmassy walk through pretty markets after getting off the metro.

We received a warm welcome and our table was reserved.

There were a lot of people in the restaurant when we arrived.

We chose the Set Menu at €

A pleasant fine dining experience. 3 hours in total, no rush, all of the silverware, even had to look up what one was for. The menu gastronomique is a great value for what you get - I enjoyed the terrines, recommend the sole (white wine, mushrooms), fun cheese plate and the dessert with ice creams (candied orange and the chocolate-iest) was amazing. Attentive service without being overly there, wine was always poured and I felt welcome.

Three of us went there on a recommendation and chose the menu gastronomique. The food was delicious and the service faultless. Not cheap but my mouth believes it was worth it.

My favourite restaurant in Brussels!

Amazing food backed by excellent service!

The food was so good we kept going back!

The Sole Meunière is out of this world.

Make sure you leave enough room for their spectacular Dame Blanche!

Highly recommended.
