We had an enjoyable meal of gyoza and ramen. In fact, it was hard to decide which ramen to get! The wine was also very good. Be sure to get there on the early side for dinner as it gets very busy. In the warmer weather, sitting outside can be very nice. One thing to note for a downside is that if you want to get takeout, the ramen is unavailable.

Went there with some friends just before we went to a party. Unplanned, we saw this place and there was a table left on the terrace. The terrace was a bit to dark because I couldn't even read the menu. We ordered some dumplings and a meal soup with noodles as main dish. I made the perfect choice. The dumplings were full of taste and so was the main dish. Nice pieces of chicken and the portion was big enough. The price is really ok for what you get. The restaurant is situated in one of the recent developments in that area in Brussels so inside it looks very modern and trendy. Staff was friendly and the owner speaks perfect English. Will go again!

Excellent place for quick working lunch. They manage well even when all floors are packed with people. Noodles soups are must in winter. Gyoza (potstickers) are prepared very well. For the rice-fans, Gyudon with onion-marinated minced meat is excellent.

We went there with a group of friends for a summer lunch - as it was sunny, we had a table outside, which was great.
Most of us took the daily lunch menu, which consisted of: very delicious gyoza, pretty random Shio ramen and a cold/hot tea. As a formula for 12Eur it was acceptable, but if I would have taken only a ramen as a main dish, I wouldn't be so happy, as it was lacking the flavour, you could easily prepare the same at home in a minute made plastic bowl from the shop.

First visit to Kokuban on place Jean Rey. Wonderful terrace on a sunny day, pleasant interior and friendly (if extremely slow) service. The food is unfortunately of a very low standard. I had the "du jour" dish. Apart from the fact that it took 45 minutes to be served, the udon was abysmal: apparently powder-based broth, what looked and tasted like instant noodles that sell for half a euro a portion in any Chinese supermarket, one (1) thin slice of meat and a couple (no more) leaves of spinach for colour.
Not going back to eat. A nice place though for having a drink and socializing.
