Our friend, who loves this place, recommended Seoul to us. We were in Brussels for the weekend to celebrate our friend's birthday. It was an excellent choice. We were 10 people and we all ordered a variety of dishes, which were all very tasty.
The spicy soup, kimchi and the bibimbap were instant favorites. However, the bulgogi (sliced beef on Korean BBQ) was the most amazing dish.
We've had this dish in other restaurants in Europe, but Seoul's version was absolutely delicious. We told them we'd be willing to move to Belgium just for this dish alone.
The owner knew that it was a birthday and asked me who the birthday girl was as soon as we arrived. I pointed her out and forgot all about it. After we had finished eating, he brought out a large sundae with a birthday candle on top. It was a really nice surprise and a very sweet gesture. The birthday girl was elated.
It was a warm summer evening and the restaurant remained cool. It's located inside of what looks like an antique home. It's an interesting setting and we felt very comfortable. The staff was great and the overall experience was lovely. It's a short walk from the Louise/Louiza metro stop, so it was easy to get to, especially for those who don't know Brussels well.
