Rooms are great and very clean. Kind and professional receptionist. Only the same problem as last year with the breakfast buffet. 30 minutes waiting time for scrambled eggs and 45 for bacon is not acceptable.

We had a lovely and convenient stay! Everything you need at hand and helpful staff. The restaurant has great food and the hotel is situated walking distance from the city central. Highly recommended!!

My family of four stayed here for three nights in July. Booked through Stayforlong, but I was able to call the hotel directly to reserve a parking spot (10 euros per day in a secure underground lot--VERY tiny but there was a minivan parked next to us!). Michael was especially helpful when I asked for assistance with the train schedule. There were three other people who helped me and all were just as pleasant. Maps and details galore!

We had a room with two twin beds in the bedroom and two more twins in the living room, but there was plenty of space for us. Bathroom had a soap dispenser for the sink as well as in the shower so bring your own other toiletries. As other reviews said, the entire place was extremely clean, while sparse. TV even had some English channels. Nespresso coffeemaker in the cabinet with a few pods and a hot water kettle with a few tea bags. We used the utensils when we had take out one night.

Breakfast was delicious (included in our rate). We only wished it opened at 0630 instead of 0700 for one of our early mornings, but it was not a big deal.

The distance to the city center IS a solid 10-15 minute walk, but once you see all the medieval architecture you almost forget how far you've walked. We felt very safe the entire time. Lots of construction going on too.

We took the Gent-Dampoort Train station several times during our trip, choosing to leave the car in the garage. This station is about a 10min walk away from the city center, and we took it to Brugge, Oostende, and Antwerp. Note of caution: the ticket machines only take coins and MAYBE your CC (wouldn't take mine); there is a customer service counter but depending on how many customers are in line, it could be risky, time-wise. We almost missed our train once.

Overall a lovely place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Bus 17/18 does stop 5min away if you want to pay for the convenience.

Great hotel for a city trip! This is an aparthotel. We stayed with 3 adults in one room and got an apartment with kitchenette, one bedroom, bathroom (bath and shower), and living room where they placed the 3rd bed. it was spacious and very clean!

Front desk staff is very friendly! It is not an 24 hour front desk so to reach them after 11 pm you have to call, but only for emergencies.

Parking (inside and outside) available for 10 euro.

Breakfast was ok. Some sorts of bread. Hot: scrambled eggs and bacon. But there were couple of empty baskets and plates, like fruit en sweet pastries. asked if it was still available but it was not and we were there around 08.45 and breakfast is till 10.00.

A nice 10 minute walk to the city centre. So location is great.

Room Tip: tell them you need a parking space before you arrive it can be full
