We don't normally stay in chain hotels, but the location here made us change our minds.
We were allocated an enormous room in the oldest part of the hotel, a long way from our expectations of a Marriott, with beams and a quirky shape. Absolutely lovely and well worth the upgrade. The beams were above my (tall) husband's head.
We didn't have breakfast. It looked typical Marriott type. There are fabulous cafes outside the canalside door.
Good bike storage, two floors down.
A lot of American visitors.
Against all expectations we loved this hotel.More
