Called on friday to have a room booked on saturday explaning that I wanted to do a last minute surprise to my wife.
The receptionist Greet (I have a bad memory, so I hope it's the right name) was very charming and very polite on the phone.
I was very lucky to get the last room which was also a family room.
Once you arrive at the hotel, you already feel at home. The hotel itself has this charming and welcoming architecture.
We were greeted by the staff and it's one of the most warming welcomes we had.
After the administrative part, we walked towards the room through the cozy hallways. The room was very spacious and clean, bathroom spotless. Small remark: the bathtub should be reglazed.
After a while we decided to go to the swimming pool with the kids.
It's rather small, water temperature was a bit cold. Not the best swimming pool, but not a big issue to me.
Fast forward to the morning after where we had breakfast at the hotel.
Again, very charming staff, almost felt like we were at the family's table. Food was good, no wow effect, but everyone enjoyed it.
All in all, a great hotel for 2 or with small children, right in the middle of Bruges.
Going back again, but without the kids this time ;)More
