My wife and I stayed once again at this excellent, family run, hotel. It's location, on a picturesque canal less than fifteen minutes walk from the very centre of Bruges, and easy to get to by car, is just perfect. A great base from which to enjoy the culinary and cultural delights of the city and explore the the contryside and villages nearby.

We have just come back from a 3 day stay in Bruges, and the hotel couldn't be better located: 10 minutes walking to the picturesque medieval centre of Bruges, by the canal, easy access to the motorway and optional garage (highly recommendable if you come by car)... But on top of that, it is a family run business and you can feel it, which makes the stay more special as their attention to detail is immaculate. Don't miss in the lounge area by the enclosed garden their photobook with all the renovation work they did some twenty odd years ago, and then you will appreciate even more their dedication to the place. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and make a short break in a beatiful place even more special.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 24, which has a canal view

For us, this was the perfect hotel for a peaceful relaxing long weekend. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and gloriously quiet, with a cheerful and friendly host and hostess providing immaculate service and a lovely breakfast. I couldn't fault it and will return soon.

Just a 10 minute walk from the city center, but far enough away so that parking is not a problem. The optional parking garage is definitely worth it. Clean rooms, nice modern bathroom, good breakfast, great location. Very private and quiet. Walking around Brugge after the day-trippers arrive is the best way to experience this beautiful town.

My partner and I stayed for three nights and what a lovely stay we had. The location of the hotel was perfect being a short walk from the main centre and a little oasis of calm on the canal side. Recommend the canal view rooms to get wonderful views of the waterway and historic buildings opposite. The room was compact but perfectly adequate and well equipped. The breakfast was fantastic as many reports have previously highlighted. Such a lovely room in which to start your day. The staff at the hotel are brilliant, extremely welcoming and knowledgeable of how to get the most from your stay. We can’t say thank you enough for a wonderful weekend!

Room Tip: Get a canal view room, its worth the small premium

We had the pleasure of staying in this hotel at Easter for 4 days. It is more like a B&B than a hotel as the owners are attendance throughout the day. The husband and wife team have been running the Hotel Ter Duinen for over 20 years and they are very much in tune as to their guests needs.

Upon booking in, we needed to stay an extra night as our plans had changed. Being Easter, the Hotel was fully booked, yet Marc went out of his way to re-arrange things so that we could stay in the same room for our entire visit. He was extremely helpful then and on other occasions when we needed help.

While being a 15 minute walk away from the main action, it is nice to be away from the crowds and the noise. The walk along the canals is beautiful and everywhere you look, there is another picture to be taken.

The breakfast room at the Hotel is beautiful and the service at breakfast and the attention to detail with all aspects of breakfast was second to none.

The bus stops outside the front door if you would rather walk into where the action is. The Hotel also sells discounted bus tickets.

All in all, a very nice place to stay especially if you are over the big hotel chains and are wanting a more personalised touch to your vacation.
